East Sooke Regional Park is a big park and a breathtaking escape on Vancouver Island, offering unparalleled beauty and some of the most stunning views of BC's pacific coast. It is one of the favourite spots to hike, ideal for friends and family. The park provides plenty of nature for everyone to experience, with a variety of different landscapes, fauna, and several weeks' worth of hiking trails. Trails lead to the ocean, look out points, rocky beaches, and through pine trees and interior forests. The trails are clean, well marked, easy to walk in portions, and well-maintained, though some coastal terrain can be rocky, steep, and slippery. The park is very peaceful, perfect for a day trip to connect with nature. Activities include hiking, picnicking, birdwatching, swimming at some beaches, and wildlife spotting for marine life, bald eagles, herons, and deer. Parking is available at multiple access points and lots, but it can fill up quickly. Restrooms are available near the parking lots, but there are none on the trails. It is best to arrive early, bring water, a map, and snacks, and dress in layers with sturdy boots for the changing weather.
