Always a good experience here. Prescriptions ready on time, friendly service. Mike, the pharmacist, is very caring and takes the time to discuss your prescription with you. I appreciate the professional and courteous service.

I am compelled to share my disappointing encounter with Mike at the Sooke Pharmasave, which regrettably involved his rude behavior during a phone conversation. The incident left me with a negative impression of the store's customer service and professionalism. Upon calling the pharmacy with a simple inquiry, I was met with an attitude from Mike that can only be described as outright rudeness. Instead of providing assistance or answering my questions with courtesy, he responded with impatience and an unhelpful demeanor. It was evident that he had little regard for customer service and lacked the basic communication skills necessary for his role. What struck me the most was the dismissive tone in Mike's voice, making me feel like a burden rather than a valued customer seeking assistance. As someone who believes in the importance of respectful and helpful customer service, this experience with Mike was not only disappointing but also disheartening.

There’s such a difference in choosing a local pharmacy over some of the national and international chains. Great services, less screw ups, actually knowing and being able to talk to the pharmacists and staff, and much less waiting, too. Great shop!

I have wasted so much time and energy dropping into this location only to be disappointed by them not being able to fill my script. Also, Patty was pushed out of this pharmacy by you know who. Patty was so friendly and connected the dots. The upside is, there is lots of parking.

I stopped going to this Pharmasave location a couple of years ago due to their slow service and poor attitude. Unfortunately, I had to have an old prescription refilled, and the doctor’s office told me to have the pharmacy contact them. So I called Pharmasave and was told that my medication would be ready the next day. A week later, nothing had happened and my phone call wasn’t returned. When I got through to someone and politely asked what was going on and why they hadn’t followed up, the person hung up on me. So nothing has changed. Every prescription involved a long wait and impatient, confrontational attitude. I’m not trying to score narcotics. I just want the necessary medications that my doctors prescribe. I called the doctor, confirmed that they had not heard from Pharmasave, and had them send the prescription to another pharmacy.

I have never had a pharmacist like Mike before. I’m a chemist, and I like to have a detailed discussion about things like drug mechanisms as my way of understanding and feeling comfortable with what I’m taking. He very naturally picked up on this, and was able to fully indulge me on it, which made me more than comfortable — not just impressed, but it was also really uplifting.But it goes beyond that. My first chat with him was regarding a medication being used off-label outside of the standard approved age range, and it naturally led to a discussion about the reason behind trying this specific medication, and developing a more holistic approach to the actual condition. It can often seem like symptoms are spot-treated rather than dealing with the root cause of an issue, but it was clear that Mike’s focus wasn’t on just the medication specifically, but also reviewing other details to make sure that the issue is being properly targeted. From this discussion, a previous detail from long ago was overlooked, and in addressing these factors together, a significant improvement was finally realised for the first time in over a decade.The awareness, knowledge, and compassion from Mike was astounding. I feel like for the first time regarding my health, someone has actually cared enough to help me as a person, not as a patient.As for the features of the rest of the store: reasonable selection of items. Some decent sales. To be honest, I don’t really think about going there to buy any particular items. I do raise an eyebrow to any pharmacy that has a homeopathy section, but that’s a separate discussion. The store is functional, and I generally don’t like to be unnecessarily wasteful, so I’m conflicted in saying that it could use a renovation to update/modernise the appearance, but I bring it up because I feel like the employees would probably appreciate working in a place with less dreary lighting/vibe, though its not quite on the level of Fields; the aesthetic is more utilitarian than inviting, so it doesn’t really compel one to come in and spend time there, but I’m glad that the experience with some staff members easily makes up for that.

Love this store! in fact I prefer it over the Shoppers Drug Mart. Most importantly what makes the Pharmacy/store so special is the staff! I appreciate the pharmacists and their kindness and how truly genuine it feels...Thanks Pharmasave!!!????????

called to transfer a prescription for my child’s asthma(urgent) they said they’d call when transferred. Once it was closed and we realized they never called we went to our last pharmacy since maybe it was never transferred? Nope. They transferred it, filled it meaning we couldn’t get it anywhere else and never called so we couldn’t get my child their inhaler. Any other business wouldn’t be this big of a deal but you’re a PHARMACY that can mess with people’s health and lives

They going to kill someone more then oncegiving the wrong MG of medication out! Oddly suspicious when the patient pointed out but the pharmacist says “oh well go home with it”. My physician and I both agree that’s grounds for being fired. Lastly how does one call their scripts in a week in advance and go to pick it up on date needed but it isn’t filled but it was surely billed so the company got there money! Or being told I needed a refill the day I am due?!? Again laziness!
