How about post your opening hours on the blank sign in your window? As well as being helpful to your customers, is doing so not a condition of your business licence?I shop there often but lost count of how many times they've been changed since COVID.Oh, and to the snarky young woman (who was locking the door as I arrived at today, Mon July 24th at 7pm), -lose the attitude!I assume this may be your first retail/customer service job (and likely not your last) so do yourself & all of us the favour.

I’d give no stars if I could in response to what received at this drug store….. no service, no compassion and substandard staff who are always different when you visit. Even the post office is slow.

Have you ever heard of a drugstore closing? Excuse is, no pharmacist. My God people! People need their medication! I keep telling people how bad this Shoppers is and they keep telling me to move to another drugstore. I see it in the future, very soon.

Me AND my brother both experienced racism from two employees, one of them mainly works in the cosmetics section and another was a stocker?

DANGEROUS LEVEL OF PHARMACY SERVICE FOR A SMALL COMMUNITY. Multiple times they have my wife in excruciating pain for 24-48 hours after receiving a critical prescription to fill, while promising it would be ready in hours. Rarely if ever do they answer the phone. However, if you walk into the pharmacy area the staff are chatting away and helping people pick out toothpaste. "Drug Mart" is literally part of this chain's name and yet it's the worst service they offer. Do not under any circumstances let them try to fill a life-dependent medication!

Most incompetent pharmacy…one pharmacist working to get medical supplies, one week later, another tells me they don’t order or sell medical supplies. Maybe shoppers drug mart should not be in pharmaceutical business. Don’t compromise your health - STAY AWAY!

I bought an Oral B product which ate 120,000 points. It was faulty so I took advantage of the 60 day money back guarantee, which staff said I had to use. I packaged the item and sent it away with the receipt. It was determined that the guarantee doesn't cover items bought with points cards. I understand the money versus the points, but I wanted my points back. Heads-up if you're using points to buy items that may have useless guarantees, you won't get those points refunded.

Never had an issue here until today. Spent 17 minutes on and off hold to finally speak to a pharmacist. I needed an emergency refill on medication which the pharmacist threatened to withhold, I quote “so you want something from me”. Leveraging someone’s medication seems incredibly unprofessional working in a health care field. This is something I’ve never had an issue doing and you pay extra when you don’t receive your doctors’ prescription on time. Overall a humiliating experience over a sensitive subject.

This is my third review... I have been going to Sooke's Shoppers Drug Mart since 1991. My first review was 5 star, my second review was not good, things had changed and not for the better. The store staff is and has always been awesome but I was routinely having problems with the pharmacy. But since that review, things have really changed. The pharmacists and their assistants and technician have been doing a great job. Very helpful, prescriptions have been done properly and it reminds me of the pharmacy in the '90s. Thanks for listening Sooke Shoppers Drug Mart!!

The few staff still left are very nice, however pharmacy service is atrocious and I have switched to Pharmasave ,so much better .Also I do not like how you only have 1 human cashier counter, the rest are machines. You save money using machines, cashiers are out of a job, and you do not even pass the savings on to the customer. Pure greed on you your part Shoppers Sooke. Shame on you

I want to start off by saying that this used to be a great pharmacy - about 5 years ago. They used to know their clients and bent over backwards to help. I should also say that the balance of the store (beyond the pharmacy) are still staffed with very good, caring people. Sadly, the staff that now handles life sustaining medicines don't appear to fit that description.Indeed, it is much different now. They have re-staffed their entire pharmacy, and they seem to have hired only people who lack the competence and caring demeanour of their predecessors.I had heard from many people that they had moved their business elsewhere (there are other good pharmacies in Sooke), but we held on until today, the final straw. Our son has Type 1 Diabetes, and obviously needs insulin to live. This pharmacy has repeatedly dropped the ball in handling our insulin needs. To compound matters, they have repeatedly told us to come in on a certain date to pick up the insulin we have ordered, and then when we arrive, find out it's not available. Last week when this happened (again), we were told to come back in an hour and that it would be ready. We came back the following day, and were told again to come back in an hour. When we did, we were told that they didn't have any of the insulin my son needs, apparently indifferent to the notion that he would die without it.When I asked them how they could continually make false promises about having getting the insulin, they explained that they usually rely on one provider, and that they could have gotten it easily from another provider, but it would have cost them more, so they didn't do it. They suggested we try another pharmacy who might have some in stock, and they phoned Forbes IDA and found that they did. We went to Forbes and they filled the prescription quickly and easily on a one time basis.Today my wife called Shoppers Pharmacy to order more diabetes supplies for my son, and Shoppers told her that they wouldn't be able to get the insulin because they had transferred that prescription to Forbes on a permanent basis, without our consent or knowledge. They then told her that it would be better if we kept all of our prescriptions together and suggested that we transfer everything to Forbes. Point taken. We went directly to Forbes and did so, and the procedure was quick, painless and restored our confidence in pharmacological services in Sooke. We had been loyal customers of the pharmacy at the Sooke Shoppers Drug Mart for many years, but unfortunately could no longer risk the health of our family to the staff there who proved emphatically that they could not be trusted.Very disappointing, especially in a small community where people rely heavily on such services.
