Unfortunately Canada Post is another large corporation that has forgotten who the customer is. The company has lost $3 billion over the last 3 years and over $456 million in the first 6 months of 2024. Management continues to fail to train their employees on how to do a decent job, improve processes and how to take care of the customer.
The employees at the location in Trail BC, do not care to do a good job and would rather make excuses than solve simple problems, like getting the delivery to the right location. Worse, they don’t care to correct for future deliveries so the problem persists. It’s such an easy problem to solve with a bit of communication, but they just don’t care.
When compared to deliveries from Amazon and other vendors to the same address one starts to wonder why do we still have Canada post? Should the two sets of drivers compare salaries at the same time ?
I hope Canada Post can turn it around, but unfortunately, it will likely be up to us tax payers to bail them out.

Very, very upset.
I preordered a special edition book MONTHS ago and today while I was out it was delivered - directly to my dog.
I don’t know why anyone would think it’s a smart idea to literally set a package inside a fenced yard right beside a dog instead of maybe at the front door that is outside of the yard, but I have video footage of this Canada post employee doing just that. She knew my dog was there, she was sitting at the gate watching.
By the time I got home the package was ripped apart and my book is damaged.
Thanks for the incompetence, Canada Post.

Very rude over the phone.
I had ordered a mitre saw, which granted, is a large & awkward package, but they didn't attempt delivery as we were home all day and nobody ever rang the doorbell.
I called in to request re-delivery, and the lady working at this location's response "I don't know what to tell you, you'll have to come pick it up."
After submitting a complaint ticket online, it turns out they can re-deliver it!
She calls me back and starts arguing, saying "Well next time would you like them to leave your valuable package on the ground?!" after I responded a few times that I'd prefer that they ring the doorbell, I've had about enough of her and exit out of the call. She also said how the package was scanned at my door, ie they carried it to my door and back to the truck. I thought this was strange as, like I said, it's a large awkward package. The delivery person confirmed that they did not do that. So the person who works the location is unprofessional & a liar!
Nothing but respect for the person doing the deliveries, it's a large awkward package, but the way the person here speaks to a customer who paid for delivery is outrageous. You're a grown woman and you argue with customers?

If 0 stars was an option I'd pick that. Incapable of their job, lost my package and essentially told me I'm on my own. As a person who has worked several guest experiences type jobs, I am nothing but disappointed.
Hopefully they can learn to not lose other people's expensive orders, and can start contacting people when they arrive instead of dropping off packages at random locations without even seeing if the person is there or not.
Please do better, as my first ever online order was ruined abd lost, and first impressions are EVERYTHING! If you can avoid using there service DO IT! And maybe message me so I can avoid them to.

$19.58 to mail a paperback novel from the kootenays to Vancouver Island. $3.61 fuel surcharge. Then they try and upsell me for insurance after I told her the book was half the price of shipping through Canada Post. Our government agencies are seriously breaking the tax payers down!!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. She recommended a better way to send my package for less money and with insurance coverage. She also seemed to know a lot of the locals who came through and was compassionate and kind to everyone.

My problem is with the mail carrier who insists in putting my neighbours mail into my box. Her house is 1706, mine is 1716. Her name is different than mine. Normally I don’t mind to take her mail over to her but I have mobility issues and it is difficult in winter snow.

Have been trying to call regarding a parcel in hold and they do not answer the phone. It goes to an automatic call back feature then gives you a busy signal and disconnect. What kind of service is this from Gov't agency won't answer the phone.
