They have a good selection of sale items, the store is well stocked, but if you are looking for a specific item look online for store inventory first. If you are looking for general items park on the roof. Automotive is on the ground floor. Ev charging is located on the 2nd floor. (Electrical outlets, not actual charging stations)

This Canadian Tire location service department is very efficient. Joe confirmed tires were in stock & put on hold, appointment time was accommodating, installation was fast, and price was exactly as quoted. Best part about this service department is they listen & do not use high pressure sell tactics. Will recommend others and will come again.Update: Dec. 7, 2023: Went in for new tires on 2017 Toyota Highlander and not sure if wheel alignment was needed. Joe and his technician said the tires were wearing evenly, and a wheel alignment was not needed. Joe and his staff's honesty, integrity, and expertise is why I have been coming to this Canadian Tire Service location at 8277 Ontario St. for 6 years. Honest people!

They have a computer showing the flashlight I wanted, it says push the button and the item will flash, head down and get it. So I go to the very end of the store and it’s locked up. So Ihave to walk all the way back to customer service and the guy said go back down there. I’ll send someone. I’m not walking all the way back down there. Maybe next time have it on the computer screen saying it is locked up and ask for help before walking all the way down there.Absolutely no customer service.

This review pertains solely to the car section of the store. I visited the store today to purchase fuses for my car. I have limited knowledge about cars, so I asked for assistance three times. Unfortunately, the only response I received was, "Here are the fuses." No one was able or even attempted to provide assistance, and as a result, I ended up with the wrong part. There is significant room for improvement needed in the automotive and parts department at this Canadian Tire location.

I am regular customer at this Canadian Tire location as this is my go to store for my personal and workplace needs including my car service. Ever since, I had good experience with this store and the staff until today when one of the staff/manager who stocking the toy section showed a bad customer service.I was browsing the hotwheels bin and I started putting all the hotwheels that I have looked at to the other bins around it. Suddenly, the lady spoke to me and said that those are old stocks (which I am aware that it is not). I kind of understood what she was trying to say and I replied politely “Don’t worry about it because I will put everything back once I am done.”She replied again “of course I am worried about it because it is our store.”I totally understand where she is coming from. However, how does she expect customers to go through a bin of toys without taking them out of the bin considering there are varieties of hotwheels? It is just disappointing how she treats customers. I am also part of a management and we do not treat our clients like this, she was so unprofessional and I believe she needs more coaching and training. I was not able to get the name the person. I hope Canadian Tire management will do something about it .

This location of Canadian Tire is one of the best location and free parking. They are located independently along with other brand names like Sports Check, Best Buy, Marshals. There is a Starbucks and a LifeLab in the next door. Not to traffic before 3.00 PM. A lot of things in here. Perfect to come and get everything.

Title: Disappointing Experience with Rude Staff (Kim) at Canadian TireRating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)I recently visited Canadian Tire, a store where I have been a frequent customer for quite some time. However, my most recent visit left me extremely disappointed and frustrated due to the behavior of one of the staff members, Kim.As my friend and I entered the store with our scooters, we were suddenly accosted by Kim, a very rude old lady who aggressively yelled at us to place our scooters at the front. This encounter was completely unexpected, as in all my previous visits, no one, not even the manager, had ever instructed us to do so. Moreover, Kim's tone and attitude were uncalled for and entirely disrespectful.Feeling disheartened by the unpleasant encounter, my friend and I decided to explore the first floor of the store. To our surprise, we encountered no issues there. The staff on the first floor did not seem to mind us carrying our scooters around, and they treated us with the decency and respect that we deserved as customers. It is truly disheartening to encounter such behavior from a staff member, especially in a store that I have regarded highly in the past. Customer service is a vital aspect of any establishment, and the lack of professionalism demonstrated by Kim tarnished the overall experience.I hope that Canadian Tire takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue at hand. As a loyal customer, I expect better treatment and respect from the staff, and incidents like these should not be overlooked.I sincerely hope that my negative experience with Kim was an isolated incident and that Canadian Tire will take appropriate measures to ensure such behavior does not recur in the future.

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. After decades of frequenting the Castlegar Canadian Tire store, and after thousands of dollars worth of purchases over the years, I will probably never go there again.Last week I went in with my son to look at lego and knives, a pretty normal everyday, and usually uneventful, shopping trip for a father and son. However, that day things were far from everyday. A few minutes after our arrival, we were swarmed by four male members of staff, including the manager, Ray, and ordered out of the store. Not even given a chance to enquiry as to why. Just order out. Halfway to the front of the store, while having my personal space invade, the manager, Ray, he finally told me why we were being ejected. I had a backpack. After I explained that my car was in the shop and that a backpack made the most sense for me to pack heavy groceries etc. home, and after I pointed out other customers with backpacks, rather than treating me like a person, or even just a good customer, Ray kept walking at me and repeating that I needed to leave.Later at the front if the store he called the RCMP, and told me I could wait there and they would escort me out. I waited, and while I did I saw a friend. She also had a backpack. I asked her if she thought it was fair that the stores policy (only just pointed out to me) was fair, seeing how it didn't seem to be equilateral enforced. Before she could answer, the manager, Ray, lept in between us (this is all shown on the CT cameras and reviewed by the RCMP) and pushed me back. When I took out my phone to check the time, Ray then grabbed it, pushed me again, and then attempted to snatch my glasses off my face, saying that I didn't need them and that they were a disguise (I have one darkened lens due to an eye injury. When thr RCMP arrived I explained what had happened and that I felt threatened and was physically pushed. Later, I called corporate Canadian Tire and made a formal complaint.I do not expect anything will come of this. And I strongly believe that I was profiled and targeted by Ray and his staff at Castlegar Canadian Tire, because I have a bit of a scruffy appearance and odd-looking glasses. Why else would I be treated like a criminal while others at the same time with backpacks like mine, shopped freely without a swat team of red shirts descending on them. So, be warned. Leave your backpack at home or prepare for the corporate tire to roll right over you.

I brought a blow up mattress that didn’t hold air the first time I blew it up. I went in less then a week later with my receipt and they would only exchange it as it was used. Why would I want the same pos air mattress. I was looking for a money back or I store credit. The staff member that helped me was a “C U Next Tuesday”. I hate shopping at Canadian Tire.

Bought a wrecking bar at this location. The wrecking bars were put in place of different wrecking bar (same size but different material) where the sticker price was half of the original price. I didn't notice while paying. When i came back thinking i got overcharged, the customer service girl was quite rude. Didn't even try to find my order. Manager found my order and told that girl, the product number that was charged, over the phone. She told me that i bought another item than the one i was claiming. I told her that there was some mistake and asked her to come with me to the stall from where i picked from, to which she said, it's not her work. Then i went and took a picture of the sticker price and showed it to her. Then she just said, no you are showing me the wrong picture. I again asked her to come with me to the stall to which she refused again. Kept on asking me what i need her to do. I asked to refund the difference. Mind that, i still don't know that i purchased wrong item because of their fault. Then i asked for manager. Manager promptly came and i asked him to come with me. He noticed the wrong label and told me what had happened. The customer service girl experience was the first time i was met with such hostility. Not coming back to this location.

Love the free parking on both floors. My favorite thing has to be online orders and pickup at the lockers. Please note this is only for smaller items that fit in the lockers. Love that you can go in and out in under 2 minutes! Also love the large selection at this location and it's a really relaxed shopping experience unlike the one on Cambie or the small one in Richmond.
