My experience with Karen was excellent. From the beginning of the school enrollment process, she was very nice and always available to answer all my questions. She demonstrated great patience and professionalism, which made the entire process much easier and clearer. Her support was invaluable, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of assistance with similar processes. Such a positive experience!

I am currently studying at Cornerstone, and overall, I have found the program to be satisfactory. The classes, teachers, and learning methods are excellent, and I havenāt encountered any issues with the academic aspects.
However, my experience with their customer service has been frustrating and disappointing. A few months ago, I made a one-time tuition payment of $1,500 through Stripe, the payment platform they use. Unfortunately, I was charged three times, resulting in a total of $4,500 being deducted from my account.
After two weeks of not receiving a refund, I disputed the overcharged amount with my bank, CIBC. Initially, CIBC refunded the money, but shortly after that, they froze my account and initiated a fraud investigation due to the circumstances. I explained the situation to Cornerstone and continued to pay my tuition, though it was late because my savings were still frozen. Unfortunately, Cornerstone showed no empathy or willingness to assist. Instead, they froze my student account and imposed late fees on top of everything, even though this situation was caused by an error in their payment system.
This lack of compassion and support has made an already stressful situation even worse. While my academic experience at Cornerstone has been positive, their poor handling of financial issues and lack of customer care have left me deeply disappointed.

If you are thinking about enrolling in this college, read it carefully. First of all, the things they told me before I enrolled in the school were totally different from reality. The first problem was before the enrollment process, they asked me if I had any language test results and I gave them my results which was THE SAME RESULT I used for my MBA in the UK. However, they said I would not be able to take the course without taking an ESL course for 3 months. I was shocked because the program I wanted to take was not complicated or harder than the MBA at the university. The advisor who I spoke with said he is gonna give me the discount bla bla. End of the day I agreed to take the ESL course. For the ESL part of my experience, my class had 16 people like hello??? How can you expect to teach another language in a class with 16 students? Everybody had a different level of English, and during the class, we had some difficulties communicating with the other students. The first and second months were so far from being helpful. The last thing about the ESL course was not only my class, in general, 80% of students came from the same country. Good luck in practicing English with them because they only speak their languages with each other.
For the DMS, when I talked with the student advisor about the program, he told me that itās a pretty intense course which helps you to land a job in Canada. Also during the short-term program, the school is going to provide 6 different certifications which have more than $3000 values. I was worried about finding a job during the co-op term and he said confidently, that they have 93% placement rates, they are having job fairs every month, and they have strong connections with big companies and help us to get a job. All the things he told me were lie. Iāve never seen any job fair, Iāve never heard from anyone who got the job, I only have 3 certifications (max value is 500$) nobody helped me to find a job and Iām still unemployed.
For the DMS class, class hours were horrible. It made it impossible to find a part-time job during the course. The learning materials were horrendous. Literally, it was super simple and basic PPTs. Contents were not more than YouTube videos, I regret that I took this course, because I could learn more about it just by watching videos and I didnāt have to pay anything. Another problem was the course language was supposed to be English, and some of the instructors were speaking Spanish with the other Spanish speakers, as a student in the same class, I felt discriminated against. If someone has a problem with the assignment they should ask in English. If they cannot speak English they should enroll in the ESL course first, like I did even though I had an English exam score. I can confidently say some of the students didnāt know how to speak English in the class. Thatās not fair if they are going to use Google Translate for the class. Why would I have to deal with a person who cannot understand and speak English?
Lastly, Iām so mad at the staff of the school, nobody cares about our issues or worries after they take the payment. Definitely, I feel like this college is not an educational institution, itās a business that aims to take advantage of the international student tuition system. Do not fall for the cheapness, because the āeducationā also will be cheap.

There aren't many Koreans, so it's good for studying English.

It was great to learn not only theoretical knowledge but also improve my English skills and build relationships while studying the digital marketing co-op course at Cornerstone. Compared to other colleges, I was able to learn practical theories that are relevant to my major, and it was helpful to get real-working experience in marketing, not just learning about it.
Also, the teachers who teach the classes and the team that manages the students are always doing their best for us. Blair, in particular, always helped me to challenge what I wanted to do. Again, thank you for consistently encouraging me to put in the time and effort.
It was such an impressive and meaningful time that I want to take other courses. Related to this, I always recommend people choose Cornerstone without hesitation when they're considering doing co-op in Vancouver :) I'm proud and grateful to be a Cornerstone student because I can see the school striving to grow further instead of being complacent.

I highly recommend the ESL program at Cornerstone College in Canada. First and foremost, the program provides a supportive and immersive environment where students can significantly improve their English skills. The instructors are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely dedicated to helping students succeed. Their teaching methods encourage interaction and practice, which greatly enhance language acquisition.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the ESL program is the opportunity to meet a diverse group of friends from different backgrounds. Engaging with fellow students in class and during activities fosters a sense of community, making the transition to life in Canada much easier. I found that having friends to share experiences with made adapting to a new culture and environment feel more manageable and enjoyable.
Another highlight of my experience was the co-op orientation organized by Blair, specifically for Korean students. This orientation was incredibly helpful in preparing us for co-op opportunities. Blair provided essential information and tips, which helped us enter the job market with confidence. Her dedication to supporting Korean students is evident, and she truly goes above and beyond to ensure we feel welcomed and informed.
If youāre hesitating about taking the ESL program at Cornerstone, I can confidently say that you wonāt regret your decision. My experience there has been incredibly rewarding, and I believe it will be for you as well.

I took an ESL course for a month, and the location of the school and dormitory was fantastic. Situated in downtown, everything was easily accessible, which really helped my English studies since there were few Koreans around. The school's activities kept me busy throughout the month, creating plenty of opportunities to make friends and engage in activities, even when I was on my own. Plus, having a fitness center on-site allowed me to exercise freely. I highly recommend Cornerstone!

Cornerstone has many fun and kind teachers and good friends. I learned a lot here. It helped me a lot with speaking. The class was fun and participation-oriented, so the fear of English disappeared a lot. If I come back to Vancouver, I will choose Cornerstone again. Also, it is located right in front of the downtown waterfront station, so it is very accessible. There is a public library nearby, so it is very convenient to go to study after class. The dorm is a 5-minute walk from the school. It's a new building, so it's very neat and secure. I didn't feel it was dangerous at night. Classes include morning and afternoon classes, and afternoon classes are convenient, and afternoon classes can be participated on Zoom. Many students were participating in both work and school classes. It was good to be able to learn the culture of other countries naturally because the age group was diverse and the nationality was also diverse
