I had a great experience with getting contacts here! I needed to get a new prescription since mine was over two years old and the process was incredibly smooth. I had the exam then came back another day for a contact fitting and got sent home with about two weeks worth of contacts to try out. Then I came back for a final appointment and was good to go. Everyone I dealt with was professional and kind, from the doctor to the customer service staff. Thank you very much.

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience dealing with Costco Optical and feel compelled to share my disappointment. The level of inefficiency and lack of communication was beyond disheartening. After sending in my contact lenses prescription via email as instructed, I was then instructed to also email my spectacles prescription (which I don’t need and didn’t ask for) and to follow-up with a phone call.Multiple attempts to reach a live person yielded no success and there wasn’t an option to leave a voicemail. Emails requesting a callback have gone unanswered as well.I had expected better from a company with Costco's reputation, and this experience has left me questioning their commitment to customer satisfaction. If they can't get the basics of communication and prescription fulfillment right, it's difficult to have faith in any other aspect of their service.

I was happy with the frames and the glasses initially but after a short time the coatings started to fog. My glasses look dirty all the time and it is embarrassing. I now wear glasses from my older prescription if I am going anywhere important which is far from ideal. They were inexpensive and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly but the product doesn't last as long as ones I got elsewhere.

It is my first time to wear progressive glasses, and the membership discount can be used for three weeks. If it is not suitable, I will return to ordinary glasses for free, and the excess balance will be refunded. This membership discount is a good one for the first time wearing progressive glasses. message. The price is reasonable, the top and the lens, anti-blue light + anti-collision + color change are only $330, of course my countdown is not high, but outside it is like a fish in water being pressed by someone, the lens alone is already double the price

I will not recommend this place if you are looking for contact lenses. I booked an appointment and came in with my prescription given by my eye doctor. They refused the service because it was the contact lenses prescription, not for glasses. Why would you NOT accept a contact lenses prescription for contact lenses? Did not make sense to me. I just wasted my time on Sunday.

Please Never go to the ‘Westcoast Doctors of Optometry’ inside of the costco. Just go to the other branch if possible!!The worst feeling ever after paying $125 for the horrible service. The Chinese optometrist called Dr. Yu-Wen Maria Wang snapped at me whenever I tried to ask things to clarify because she talked too fast, almost murmuring with low-tone voice. (Fyi, this woman was late for the appointment and she knows there was another patient after me. I don’t even want to call her Dr.)I seriously think she is a racist because I’m international person with not-fluent English speaking. This one star even doesn’t deserve for her rude, obnoxious and condescending attitude toward me during the exam. I feel still not comfortable and disgusted by her. ?I miss that Korean Dr.Julie Bae so much.

I need a contact lenses prescription and, because they do not sell contact lenses, they could not give me one. The eye exam is $125 but you have to go to another place to do contact lenses fitting.

The staff doesn't understand the lens options well. I had contradictory statements from two of them about anti-fatigue lenses. That didn't inspire confidence, so I bought from a different store.

So convenient and easy to get a booking too. The inside of the office is a little bit dated nonetheless the doctor was detailed with my eye exam. The only downside is they don’t do direct billing.

I went to get some new contact lenses at Costco. And I met Bonnie, she is amazing person who helped me a lot. My glasses leg was broken and I taped it. She didn’t need to fix my glasses but she did extra miles. I can’t thank her enough!!! She save my vision! Thank you

I had the worst eye exam of my life here. The receptionist also was the one who takes you through some tests before you see the actual optometrist. The receptionist made me feel bad about not being able to complete some of the tests properly even though I was trying my hardest. She has no empathy. I wasn’t there for a regular check-up I went because I was having blurry vision and pressure behind my eye. It seems she is inexperienced and unable to conduct these tests in a professional and sympathetic manner. I ended up having to also do a test to see if I have blind spots. I was suppose to click a button when I see a dot of light. In some spots I honestly could not see anything and I was already feeling scared but was made to feel worse because she was sighing loudly behind me and kept telling me over and over to click the button. She made me feel stupid and sometimes I did click the button when she told me too which may have altered my tests result but I just wanted her to stop harassing me. The test was located behind her desk and I had to use her chair so maybe she wanted me to finish quickly so she could sit back down. Underneath there were so many boxes I had no room for my legs so they were squished up against the boxes the whole time. Afterward I had painful marks in my legs because the test took a while. So uncomfortable and unsanitary. I emailed them about my experience and have not heard back so they don’t care either. The optometrist was so lovely but either then that everything else was horrible.

The eye exam part of the biz is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Being forced to wear a mask for vision testing was very frustrating because my breathing led to the lenses being fogged up so heavily that I wasn’t able to see the chart properly, thus distorting the result. Despite my protest, the woman didn’t allow me to remove my face mask. I ordered two pairs of progressive glasses through Costco but had to return them due to incorrect eye test result and Costco’s lack of lens choices. I had to go to another shop for a new pair and the result wasn’t significantly better when I realized it’s the eye exam report that causes me this huge headache, literally. So I tracked down the store on west Broadway that sold me my first patient of progressive glasses 7 years ago. The owner who is licensed to do eye test as well tested my vision and got me a new pair. Problem solved, after I wasted over $900 because of Costco.

I had a horrible eye exam with Dr Maria Wang today. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was very impatient and had a very condescending attitude the whole time. She made me feel very uncomfortable. Super disappointing as i’m always happy to support female doctors and women in general. I would not recommend her to anyone and I will definitely get my eyes rechecked somewhere else.
