Decent Esso gas station overall. Fuel prices are fairly standard for the area and the pumps usually work without issues. The convenience store is okay, but it can feel a bit limited and sometimes not very well stocked. Service is average — not bad, but not particularly friendly either. It gets the job done if you need gas or a quick stop, but there’s nothing that really stands out.

The staff are great here and there are a few parking spots available. But there is always non customers outside opening the door for customers in hopes of receiving change ( money) or to buy them food. This location is in DT vancouver close to the hospital. However, I have never had a problem with anyone and even have blessed a couple people with a warm coffee in the cold and rainy season.

Today, Dec 4, 2025, at your Esso station 1205 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC, I urgently needed the restroom. The cashier said it was “out of order” and only for staff, yet I clearly saw employees using it.
This is unacceptable, embarrassing, and likely violates BC sanitation rules for public facilities.
Please remind this location that functional customer restrooms must be available to the public, not just staff.

The washroom was out of service.
There were no paper towels at the pump and so dirty boxes, and no paper for receipts at the pump either.
Overall, the service at this location is very poor.
Esso, if you cannot provide even basic services, you should consider giving this location to another company. I have attached all photos as proof

Shocking lack of basic decency and zero willingness to help in a clear emergency from staff.
Saw a man get locked out of his Evo carshare after filling up—receipt in hand—with all his belongings and phone inside. He politely asked to use the store phone (clearly visible behind the counter) to call Evo for help. The staff member plainly refused and pretended not to understand him, even though the man was a native English speaker and explained the situation clearly and calmly.
To make matters worse, the car was stuck at the pump, blocking it and preventing other customers from fueling up—hurting business, too.
In the end, other customers helped him before another Evo user booked the car.
Very sad to see.

17 September 2025 , 5:45Am I went in there to grab my morning coffee and to get gas in my car. SANJIP was working at that time suddenly a homeless guy came in and grabbed a pack of chips and went out without paying , SANJIP started blaming me that its just I was paying so he can't get that guy after that he started abusing me in indian language and I told him I know Hindi and punjabi both languages. he start sounding being a big racist and he continued abusing me for 5-10 minutes while another guy who was working at tim hortins he asked him to stop . ESSO MANAGEMENT SHOULD DO SOMETHING!! REALLYYYYY BAD STAFFF WORKING HERE WORST THING HAPPENED EVER TO ME . Wanna hear back from esso management
