The owner was such a mean person. Terrible attitude, there's a way better bookstore like 2 minutes away from there callen Banyen Books, go there instead.

Very nice bookstore with some older, rare finds. The space is tight, but the place is quaint. My husband and I visited from Seattle when we took a random trip up to Vancouver. I will visit again soon.

It's been several years since I was last in Kestrel Books, but I realized yesterday I had been away too long. Ron, the owner and proprietor, is a kind, knowledgeable person who is the epitome of what a bookseller should be. He makes exploring his bookstore a pleasure; no pressure, no judgment, and helps you meet your needs. Don't let the small square footage fool you - this collection is very well curated and books are generally in very good to fine condition. Book after book kept tempting me. Also, the prices are excellent and it ensures that stock rolls over frequently. A wonderful gem of a bookstore.
