I went to yesterday, Front desk asian lady was too rude. I gave my inform and Id, she keep asked to me why I came here. Should I say my private things everybody can hear??There was no communication, so I asked to another lady who was next her. She was really nice. I hope the Chinese lady fire soon

My experience was really great hereI easily booked an appointment through the lifelabs website for one week later and the check in process was pretty quick. The staff were very professional and I really didn’t feel anything for my blood draw even though I know I have terrible veins. I also got my results within 4 days, which fairly quick and fast for a quite busy laboratory. I highly recommend this laboratory.

horribly understaffed. i feel for the staff here. some are super nice, but there’s one lady who works at reception who is SO moody - in some ways i can’t blame her, they need to staff this place with more people.

Haven’t even been there yet (recently) and I’m already unimpressed and frustrated by the fact that despite exhortations to book online, it is impossible to do so. “Book an appointment” sends you to “find closest lab”; however, I was only able to find this location thru Google maps and my own memory of it existing — the LifeLabs website doesn’t list any of the ones closest to me at all. The website toggles me endlessly between “book an appointment” and the completely useless “find a location,” which does not list any location anywhere near me. If LifeLabs would rather have people book their appointments online than phone, perhaps they might try providing useful information and links that make this possible.

The negative reviews are from entitled people who don't understand that this location is very busy. The staff today were very professional and highly trained - I had blood work done and didn't feel a thing. They had a lot of clients and managed to cover most of them. One entitled client expected to come in at the last minute and bump someone else from the line - he resorted to verbally abusing staff when he was denied. Not acceptable - I would wager negative reviews are from people like that. All in all - please realize that this lab provides an excellent service but is incredibly busy due to its location.

I rushed to get to the Kerrisdale location on a Saturday because they are open until 1 pm. When you work all week, this is convenient for some of us. I got there an hour before closing time only to be told (as was the woman before me) that they were all 'booked' for the day, and if we 'weren't on the list' that we could come back Monday...they weren't taking any more 'walkins'. Because there is NO WHERE in any of their advertising/promotional material/websites that says that 'walkins' won't be served UNLESS they have a booked appointment...you can understand that the woman before me, me, and the people behind me were reasonably upset. Why be open on a Saturday and post your hours, if indeed, you are closed to appointments before noon on a 1 pm closing time? I must also have been speaking to 'Dipali' as mentioned in another review as being 'rude and clearly doesn't like her job!'because the girl who was attending to me was extremely rude, and after she could see how upset I was, sarcastically added 'Have a nice day' as I turned to leave. I told her that that wasn't necessary, and she denied being sarcastic, and when I turned to leave, now more upset, repeated 'Have a nice day. It must be nice to work for a company who has a monopoly on labs and doesn't care at all about customer service. Anyone else would be out of business.

The 'save your spot' feature is a joke. I've been waiting for over 2 hours and the estimated wait time keeps fluctuating between 25 minutes and 40 minutes. I don't understand how this is supposed to be more efficient, it's completely unreliable.

This is definitely a popular location! The short hours means Saturdays are extremely busy. On my most recent visit there was a wait time of 1+ hr. I got in near closing and wasn't sure if they'd be able to do my bloodwork but they squeezed me in at the very end (I waited around 30 minutes). Like the other reviews mentioned, the clinic could try to be more organized, but given how many people they attended to I found them quite efficient. Shoutout to Flora (?) for the painless blood draw! I'm usually terrified of needles but the whole process took just 2 minutes. Next time I come I'll definitely use the "Save My Spot" service to avoid unnecessary wait times. If you plan to walk in, make sure to come well before closing.
