I'm sad the photo didn't show how beautiful the front of this building is. I was here performing magic for a special event. The Marine drive golf Club is a wonderful facility in course. If you want to come in for something to eat or beverage you are welcome. If you're coming in for an event, the staff and facility is fantastic.

Marine Drive Golf Club has gained notoriety among golfers for being arguably the worst golf course ever. One of the major grievances that players consistently voice is the exorbitant prices of the golf balls. The cost of these balls is outrageously high, making it difficult for golf enthusiasts to enjoy their favorite sport without feeling financially burdened. The management's decision to set such steep prices for golf balls has left many players disgruntled, tarnishing the overall experience at Marine Drive.Beyond the financial aspect, the behavior of the club's workers contributes to the negative reputation of Marine Drive Golf Club. Numerous reports indicate that the staff members are often disrespectful and inattentive to the needs of the golfers. This lack of customer service leaves patrons feeling unwelcome and unappreciated, further diminishing the appeal of the golf course.Another significant issue plaguing Marine Drive Golf Club is the lack of control over player conduct. Many golfers at this course seem to have a propensity for yelling at their fellow players, especially when someone accidentally hits a ball over the net. This aggressive behavior creates a hostile environment and detracts from the enjoyment of the game. The management's failure to address and curb such incidents further contributes to the club's negative image. The overall atmosphere at Marine Drive Golf Club is marred by these issues, creating an unwelcoming and unpleasant experience for golf enthusiasts. The combination of expensive golf balls, disrespectful staff, and aggressive fellow golfers makes it a challenging environment for players to enjoy the sport they love.In addition to the financial and interpersonal challenges, the course maintenance at Marine Drive Golf Club has also come under scrutiny. Reports suggest that the fairways and greens are not adequately cared for, impacting the quality of play. Poorly maintained course conditions not only affect the golfing experience but also raise concerns about the overall professionalism of the club.Furthermore, the lack of investment in modern amenities and facilities at Marine Drive Golf Club has left it lagging behind other establishments. Many golfers today seek venues that provide not only challenging courses but also modern conveniences such as updated clubhouses, state-of-the-art equipment, and comfortable amenities. The outdated infrastructure at Marine Drive fails to meet these expectations, further contributing to its unfavorable reputation. One of the cornerstones of a successful golf course is effective communication between the management and the players. Unfortunately, at Marine Drive Golf Club, this communication appears to be lacking. The club's failure to address concerns raised by its patrons reflects a dismissive attitude towards its customer base, worsening the overall experience for those who choose to play there.Despite these numerous issues, Marine Drive Golf Club has shown a surprising reluctance to adapt and improve. The unwillingness to address the concerns of its patrons, coupled with a lack of investment in upgrading facilities, reflects a stubborn commitment to outdated practices. This refusal to evolve contributes significantly to the club's reputation as the worst golf course in the eyes of many players. In conclusion, Marine Drive Golf Club's reputation as the worst golf course is well-founded, given its combination of expensive golf balls, disrespectful staff, aggressive fellow golfers, subpar course maintenance, outdated facilities, poor communication, and restrictive policies. The overall experience at this golf course falls far short of the expectations and standards set by more reputable establishments in the golfing community.

I am extremely disappointed and angry that Marine Drive Golf Club selfishly restricts access to the shoreline, preventing the public from enjoying the beautiful Fraser River Trail. The golf club has cut off 750m of shoreline, making it impossible for trail users to fully experience the area. To make matters worse, the only way to bike the entire Fraser River Trail is to travel an extra 5.4km in heavy traffic on Southwest Marine Drive, thanks to the golf club's refusal to connect the trail. This is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of consideration for the community and the environment.

I worked there and to make a long’ish story short. People who work in the golf industry either like to play golf or like to play on their phones because it is seen as an easy job. I like to golf and I don’t mind doing most of the work while others watched tv or play their phones. There are worse jobs out there. After a few months I finally met the head pro. He informed that I am “creepy” and I “shouldn’t be so terrifying”. He was referring to my meditation in the staff parking lot. Honest to Pete I thought he was going to thank me for the hard work because I was a sweaty mess from a straight hour of lugging bags. I was taken aback that bud was so out of touch with what’s happening.I approached the pro and I tried to explain that my experience at larger golf courses is beneficial as compared to the kids that have never held a job and are not interested in golf. I also had to explain that you are currently hiring anyone with a pulse. Plus, I do most of the work. This pro makes 6-figures and I have to explain Canadian golf to him, what’s happening at his own course and basic economics. I lost it and decided to find work else where.Marine Drive called around and told some lies about me and I was blocked from working at other private courses in the area. This club is high on the price range and has a short, no woods, driving range. It’s better to be a member elsewhere.

Poor service overall - both pro shop and dining. The food was terrible, limited menu for lunch and it took forever to receive our food and only to be disappointed in the meal.
