Extremely rude and self righteous owner. Blocks the back laneway with his truck while unloading, and when asked to move his truck to the side to allow traffic through, he tells his staff to ignore us. Incredibly selfish behaviour.

Extremely rude owner who blocked the entire back lane when unloading. They did not even try to park to the side to allow other cars through. When asked to move their van slightly forward or to the side to allow me to pass by, they shrugged me off and said they had nowhere to move (even though there was enough space).
The staff member helping to unload looked apologetic and was trying to rush but the van owner deliberately took longer. Not a good example to be setting. They had no respect for the public roadway or neighbourhood and took their time unloading.

This butcher is selling meat that has spoiled. I purchased $50 dollars worth of beef ribs (astronomical price btw). Had a slight odour but initially thought it was OK. What I ate tasted disgusting and was chewy and all fat. The very next day, the remaining uncooked ribs were clearly spoiled, oxidized, and smelt bad. So less than 24 hours.
Do not buy from this place. Clearly very low quality control. My regret is not returning and asking for a refund. I’ve never had an experience like this from a butcher.

Decent selection, a few pretty unpleasant and aggressive staff though unfortunately. People probably go as there isn’t much choice around the area…definitely not a first choice for us. Just do your job with a smile and a little bit of knowledge guys, it’s not hard is it?

Please be careful when purchasing from this shop. I bought 1lb boneless short ribs, but one side is already oxidized (brown with smell), see photo 1. For comparison, the other side looks fine (see photo 2).

This butcher was great in the past but not sure what changed - recently I purchased two "canadian" beef tenderloin cuts and I had to choose the only 2 out of the 8 that didn't have significant oxidization already (more brown than red). Should have known to walk out right then and there.After paying $65 for the two small steaks I went home and cooked them. I've cooked hundreds of steaks and am well aware of different techniques etc. to ensure a good sear and medium rare inside.The meat was tough and dry and lacked taste. I honestly believe this could have been defrosted that day or at least definitely not remotely fresh.Long story short - product no longer justifies the price. Won't be back.

Not bad. Got beef stew meat that was gross! Had to throw it out! Their ground beef 5 lbs for $35 is a good buy. Ray is amazing and a great resource. Upset that they now put a tip option when paying. Seriously! Prices are high enough and adding a tip is just ludicrous!
