The Memorial Society was extremely helpful…..it took so much pressure off of me when the family is in mourning and everything has to be done quickly. I tell everyone I know about their services. Plus, it’s only a onetime payment of $50. and it saves you money, time and emotions!

Fantastic. Super helpful. And yes they can save you money. I recommend buying a membership. And set everything up. Easier planning and the big one saves you hundreds of dollars.

My experience with the Memorial Society of BC was poor at best. I was told by MS of BC that1. That all I had to do is call and they would call the funeral home and get the process started.2. The the cost was lower.My father passed away Nov 2019.....Still waiting for a call back! Called and left messages, NOBODY and I mean NOBODY ever called back. The recommended cremation company said that my dad could only go to Vancouver Island for the cremation. No other options. I was told there were no crematoriums in Vancouver by the Society. Being from out of town I believed them and wish now I had done some research before hand. VERY POOR. Especially at such a difficult time.My mum passed away in October of 2022. I did my research and chose Amherst Cremations. What a great experience. I was happy to have a choice and pay for the Cremation to be in Vancouver. They came to me and made every effort to make this a good experience. I would recommend Amherst to anyone.Memorial Society of British Columbia. Shame of you for taking peoples money and doing NOTHING in return. Once you received my money I was never....never... never helped. No calls returned.My opinion, if someone recommends you give your money to this organization, Do Not Waste your money. Save it for what you really want for your loved one when the time comes. And do your research in advance.It's taken me 3 years to say this, but I am glad I finally have this off my chest, Memorial Society of British Columbia...Shame!

This Memorial Society works like a co-op, with members saving around $1000 from funeral home charges. I strongly recommend joining, and telling your family you have joined. The Memorial Society is your best friend, when it comes to protecting you from the Death Industry. My FULL endorsement.
