Had a really positive experience at Michaels. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. A friend I was with was having issues with her card, and unfortunately it took about 10–15 minutes to get sorted out (not the first time it’s happened). Even as other customers started getting impatient, the cashier remained calm, understanding, and extremely patient the entire time. We ended up having a really nice conversation with her while we waited. Great customer service and a reminder of how much kindness matters.

Alastair at the custom framing inside Michael’s was fantastic and knowledgeable. They were so nice and worked within my budget for my oversize and oddly shaped print. I would definitely come back for any framing I need. I will update when I pick up my item.

Staff were rude and told me I had to pay for my pencil crayons before they would bring them to me. Paid for the $100 pencil crayons and there was no staff around to bring them. Once a staff came around they didn’t say anything and didn’t even know what to do and had to find another staff to ask about it. After all that it still took them close to 15 mins for someone to find and bring me the pencil crayons. Overall, bad service, rude and incompetent staff, and a negative experience especially since I was in a rush.

Michael’s is a great store in terms of variety and quality. They offer a wide selection of fabrics, yarns, colors, and all kinds of art and craft supplies, and the quality is definitely solid. It’s a great place for small purchases and creative inspiration.
The only downside for me was the pricing. I was expecting something a bit more local and affordable, but in reality Michael’s is more of a retail store rather than a wholesale supplier.
That said, if you’re looking for high variety and good-quality art materials, it’s definitely a strong option.
