(North Vancouver, Marine Dr. and Garden) I know better than to trust my oil changes to Mr. Lube but I figured they couldn't screw up a winter tire swap. I was not impressed. I waited for at least five minutes in my car for someone to acknowledge me. Finally went in and asked if they were taking customers. They told me it would be twenty minutes. I went back to my car and observed a bunch of bros having a great time telling each other about their weekends. They appeared to be in no hurry, even though cars by that time were lining up behind me. A manager would have been very useful but all I ever saw was the bros. After they eventually did my wheels I asked them to torque the nuts to 89 lb. feet as specified in the manual. Head bro said "nah, we torque everything to 100". I asked him why Subaru bothered specifying a different number. He looked at me like my stupidity was causing him pain and said "trust me, there's no difference". I told him do it anyway and he made a great show of kowering the torque wrench setting and applying it to nuts that were *already overtorqued*. I gave up, went home, and retorqued them myself. TLDR: bunch of young guys who demonstrated little effort in pleasing the customer and doing their job properly. If they had a manager, which they desperately needed, none was apparent. A textbook example of how not to run a business. Do not trust your vehicle to these jackasses.

I've only been to Mr Lube a few times, between a couple of different locations. At least twice I came in to use a coupon where I was supposed to get free wiper blades. Both times, at different stores, they didn't give me the free wiper blades. Usually when you get a car serviced you aren't micromanaging the workers and eyeballing them whole time, and often when you go to a place like that you are on the run and have a lot of things on your mind. So after they changed my oil, it wasn't until I drove out of the store that I realized they didn't change my wiper blades. I came back to the store and they gave me the wiper blades, though I ended up having to install them myself later when I got home as they said they were too busy. More recently I went to another store with the same coupon and again I was rushing between errands. A combination of that plus the store trying to upsell me on other services caused me to realize later when I got home that they didn't change my wiper blades again. I also looked at my printed invoice and it said that they did over $300 worth of service when the oil change (synthetic) was about $130. At least that's what I remember seeing when I used my credit card. Between the stuff that happened today but more importantly between different stores, tells me that they have a systemic problem. I actually work as a manager with past roles including the development of training programs, procedures, and performance management of staff. This tells me that the chain has some core issues that are not being addressed, which is evidenced by the number of negative reviews. Based on my experience I've decided to not ever recommend nor use Mr Lube for any services.

I got brought into the garage and then everyone went on lunch brake. Sat in my car on the hoist and nobody did anything for about 10 minutes. saw someone and asked if everyone's on lunch and he gave me some word salad about it's a 1 hour service.. Tire change - my tire was on the other side of the car, and the guy pulled the tire out through the opposite side. Like, I placed it in the car in a way my upholstery wouldnt get dirty. This guy wasn't as aware. Tire guys who don't care about their jobs.

Came here with my Tesla M3 Performance and mint condition aftermarket 20"s with a slow leak on my front passenger side. I came here as it was the only place without a 2 week wait. They did a great job on the spot. They were very busy at the time but still managed to have it all patched and good to go within an hour. The technician that dealt with me had great communication skills and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process.
Rim is still flawless with not a single mark, and the patch worked perfectly.

They did an excellent job on my car maintenance. Smooth service, right to the point, and fair pricing. Definitely recommend.

Staff is rude. Not sure how they’re still in business with this customer service

I had a frustrating experience here. They tried to charge me $130 for an oil change, which I’ve never paid before—$80 is the most I’ve ever spent. They also promised there wouldn’t be a wait, but I ended up waiting while several employees seemed to be just standing around. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your car here. Go to Canadian Tire. Anywhere else but there.

Topped up fluid as car was indicating low. Super nice staff did it for free and it was a quick in and out.

** UPDATED REVIEW** September 23, 2024
Emailed these guys my concerns as per their request and no response back. Appears they post the same cookie cutter response on each of their negative reviews with no intention of actually improving their customer experience.
Do not get your car serviced at this location.
Noticed there was a pricing discrepancy between what they charge and other Mr. Lube locations — when I asked, the service rep told me it’s because different locations have different pricing. How does that make sense? A cheeseburger is the same price at McDonald’s irrespective of if I’m buying in Vancouver or Burnaby…
In addition, they promise free wiper blades with any oil change. When I went to redeem this offer, they could not get the wiper blades to fit on the vehicle. After trying for about 10 minutes, they offered me a $15 refund on my bill which I accepted. However, to get this approved they needed authorization from their supervisor, Steven. When I spoke with Steven, he refused to honour the $15 off stating it was a problem with my vehicle, not with their wipers. There is no problem with my vehicle and he simply did not want to go through the hassle of refunding me the original amount and recharging me with the discount.
Overall, terrible customer service from start to finish. Spare yourself and go get your oil changed elsewhere.

Damaged my transmission after recommending I get a flush. Went back to get it looked at twice because it was running weird and making noises immediately after but they said it was normal and keep driving. The issue persisted until my car stalled in front of a moving vehicle and we almost got hit. Out of fear I took it elsewhere and they noted the wrong fluid was used and there was metal shavings inside. I paid a huge bill to fix it. Mr Lube denied it was them but assured me the technician had been fired because he sucked. They offered to refund the cost of the flush, but I was still out over $900.00 for the repairs on something they damaged. During the process I was lied to and passed around. It took 2 months to even get the refund for the flush credited. No integrity here unfortunately.

Don’t go here. Even though it is a cheaper option it’s not worth it. The quality is poor, and they try to upsell you services you don’t need. I waited 45 minutes after being told it was a 2 minute wait. 2 people got their oil changed before me while I sat in the car. I urge you to pay a tiny bit extra to go anywhere else.

Stopped into the North Van location on Marine Drive on Thursday. i had a burnt out headlight and had great service to replace them there before. They didn't have my bulb in stock and asked me to return on Friday. when I did, JD quickly replaced it and sent me away with no charge! Didn't expect that.

Scammers. I ask for an oil change and show the guy the $15 off coupon that came in my mail. He keys in my license plate and sees I never go for the upsells. So he tells me it's synthetic oil or nothing for $115, cuz they're out of regular oil. Ya right. An oil change shop out of oil. I drove away. This was the final straw. And first yelp review I've written in my life.

Oil change usually fine. But it’s been twice now that I have gone to get an oil change at a different shop (I travel frequently) only to discover that the bolt on the drain pan has been WAY over tightened. Causing an additional trip to a mechanic on 2 separate occasions. Also, when calling, some associates are extremely rude and unhelpful. Not always, but often enough to mention and leave a bad taste.
