New district wine beer spirits has displayed a white artists appropriative indigenous-style artwork. This liquor store is right by the Musqueam reserve where there are a ton of amazing Musqueam artists. Wow. When I called about it the manager said that the white artist is married to a Musqueam person (as if that doesn't still make it appropriation) would not go back here.

I had the most excellent experience tonight at District Wine. This is the second year I’ve driven from the North Shore to pick up one of their red wine advent calendars (12 days). Last year they were all packaged in beautiful wooden boxes, and the presentation was fantastic. When I went to pick up my box this year it came in two separate cardboard boxes, it just didn’t have that same something special that the packaging the year before did. When I mentioned this to the staff, Michael and the other gentleman working went above and beyond. Michael went and found a beautiful box and completely repacked my order, he ensured everything was perfect and even cut out the QR codes from the cardboard packaging to place in the new box. I was able to leave with a gift that would impress anyone. He even carried the box to my car :)While I was there I noticed they offer 20% off of orders of 36 bottles or more…so likely will make this drive more than just annually going forward.Thanks again!

Went in and asked where they keep their domestic beer. When they asked me for my ID I said I didn’t have it on me. Instead of asking me to leave they threw empties at me. Very disappointed.
