Paper-Ya is an incredible, inspiring creative space and one of the favorite stationery shops in Vancouver, located on Granville Island with 37 years of history. It offers an unrivalled and outstanding selection of stationery and related accoutrements, with a really assorted store full of neat, cute, and funny things. This includes handmade paper, black wings pencils, fountain pens, embroidered ribbon, leather goods, invitations, every kind of calendar, posters, cards, books, and gifts from the best brands of every continent. The staff is really friendly, wonderfully patient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate, providing service that is second to none. Be careful, because you might end up spending a good chunk of your money here. It is worth a trip to Granville Island just for this shop.

I had visited this Vancouver location before, so I was disappointed by this visit. The selection felt quite ordinary, with nothing especially distinctive or worth the trip. Many of the products were available from other stockists, and I had expected a more unique and memorable range.
