The store is clean and many of staff are nice and friendly but one woman at the customer service is very rude and making faces behind customer backs. This is not acceptable behaviour.

I shopped here a few weeks ago and had trouble with the self check-out. It was glaring red and I was very embarrassed because everyone knew I did something wrong. Luckily, Nina came over and helped me resume my machine and she taught me how to prevent this situation in the future. She was very kind and helped me bag my groceries. I saw her again last week, and she once again was very friendly and hospitable. I am glad to see a familiar face at Safeway.

They make some of the best PIZZA BUNS. Hot and fresh unlike other locations where they freeze them which makes no sense.
However the problem is, this Safeway just doesn't make them before 1pm which is really stupid to be honest. They are usually made before 9am at other locations in BC. In Alberta, they are made before 7am opening time.
I'd also avoid the lottery kiosk at all cost because they scammed by short changing me multiple times and they are very rude.
Other than that I'd give 5* for Safeway itself.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. They have since used diamond parking and give tickets all willy nilly! If i can give a -negative star i would!

I love to shop at Safeway. Their fruits are fresh and sweet. They have always good deal.

The Safeway parking lot is operated by Diamond Parking. My senior father parked at the lot, went into Safeway, came out 10 minutes later and they gave him a parking ticket saying he walked off the lot. He didn't. When we disputed the ticket, they denied it because he only purchased a couple items from Safeway and didn't spend enough money in the store. It's baffling that they gave him a parking ticket and denied the appeal for not spending enough money at Safeway.

Good sized parking lot. Workers will help you with your grocery items to your car. Starbucks present. Security rails and security present. Self checkout available. Can rent carpet cleaning machines here. Flower shop available. Pharmacy available.

Avoid this store. I came across a heavy marijuana smell by the meat department, contaminating all the products I wanted to purchase as well. I made a complaint to the store manager Steve, which he calls me an idiot for even suggesting that while he starts to break down uncontrollably. It made me very angry for him to say this to me, let alone in front of my child as well. I decided to not make any purchases and to never again bring my business here after what childish behaviour I had witnessed. Funny enough, as I’m leaving the parking lot, I see his meat department butcher consuming cannabis products right outside. What a joke.
