Racist and discriminatory - store and pharmacy personnel.Pharmacist Tami persisted to try and charge me for my prescriptions that are covered by the provincial government; my daughter fixed this for me. Pharmacist Tami says she does not know who took our Ozempic medication request and did not explain the pricing ($200 a month) so we could make the necessary changes with our doctor for a different medication. Pharmacist Tami and Ron said no COVID vaccination is available as it ran out last night as they administered it to walk-in customers and had none left for appointment holders like me - these pharmacists could not even call us and inform us of this instead of wasting our time?! When my daughter confronted these people for their behaviour as being racist and discriminatory as twice now they denied our COVID vaccinations, Tami said we can leave without our medications.A caucasian pharmacy assistant was mocking my daughter and me with his co-workers. My daughter informed them that their behaviour is unacceptable; another caucasian customer associate said we should leave their store as they are not racist - if they weren’t talking about us, how did this associate arrive at this statement?

Pretty unpleasant experience here trying to pick up post oral surgery antibiotics. Was made to feel very demanding asking if they could have them the same day and I was willing to wait. Understand they were short staffed but could only pass on the request of my dentist that it was really important to take another dose that evening. Said they would call me when ready which has in the past not happened so I went back around one and half hour later to check to be greeted with “I told you I’d call you when they’re ready” being yelled across the pharmacy which felt pretty embarrassing. I took a seat in the waiting bit “oh you’re going to wait there are you okay”. They then began talking to each other in a different language which may well not have been about me but certainly felt like it was. Felt like such a strangely aggressive interaction for a pharmacy.

Very inattentive pharmacist. Had to get over the counter drugs to help with my nausea because he did not attend to me despite sitting in the waiting area for a consultation. He casually checked stock or made recordings of drugs on the shelves while I sat there waiting...wanting to throw up.Visit date: Monday September 4, 2023 @ 3:30pm.

Although the Pharmacy is ridiculous at this location, the store part is excellent. Great selection of products, usually fully stocked. Everything sells out quickly so everything is always very fresh. Although it is smaller, this location of Shopper's has a much wider selection and much higher quality products than the London Drugs a block West, so sick of the high priced low quality of London Drugs. The Shopper's staff is always nice. A Shame Shoppers is associating itself with the horrible service and high prices of London Drugs in a shared Flyer. I just throw it out.

Pharmacy is terrible. Prescriptions take ages and they never call when it's ready as they say they will. Staff don't care. Pharmacist seemed shocked when I wanted my child's post-surgery prescription pain meds the same day. "Other" pharmacy in the neighbourhood had them ready in under 10 minutes. So done with this place.

I arrived at the store about ten minutes before closing. I was quick with my purchases and went to self-checkout, the item on sale came up at regular price. Then the sales associate told me to go to counter, but when it didn’t come up, she had to go check price. Upon return, she returned with a supervision {Tahsin) who said he could not honour the sale price because it was after midnight.I said I would pay full price and come back to correct. He then said if you are going to complain, I can’t sell you the items on sale. Then he decides he’s not selling me anything, I can return tomorrow. I said all other stores were now closed and I needed the first aid supplies (bandaids and hydro peroxide). He didn’t seem to care and said no.So after I arriving before close and was at the checkout, and he could not honour sale price, said computer technical issue. Even though I had been waiting on them now.I ask if this was a corporate store or franchise ( he never answered). I then asked for the store manager’s name/ store number / contact details.I get a ripped up piece of paper with his name (Tahsin - Supervisor) and Kanchan- Manger). As you can see, so official, and apparently the level of management skills at this allocation. As a long time member of Shopper’s Drug Mart, I find the customer service of the ‘supervisor’ team disappointing.I will write a more formal letter of complaint to corporate. If a customer requests the manager details . It would be expected to provide the details.Something tells me ‘Tahsin’ has other negative interactions with customers previously. His attitude as a supervisor when there were about four other staff members watching and his total disregard/ disrespect of a ‘customer’ is appalling. Not sure who hires management / supervisor team mates, but clearly re-training is needed. This won’t be the last you hear from me. It will be time consuming, but I will get someone’s attention who will bring this location up to corporate standards.Unhappy Customer,Richard SquiresVeteran/ School TeacherUpdate Several weeks later!Owner commented on reviews older than mine but not mine. So clearly the owner is quite aware of the horrible/ appalling customer service at this location : 2748 Hastings Street EastVancouver, BC

The rudest, most incompetent pharmacy I've ever used. I was at the counter one time and the phone was ringing and ringing. I witnessed a pharma assistant pick it up and hang up without saying hello. He and another guy laughed. The rudeness and indifference of several of the staff is just incomprehensible. No idea how they get away with it.

They have good prices and good selection. I'd say there's nothing wrong with the store itself. It's pretty convenient and a quick pick up shop. Well my oldest daughter wanted to buy makeup so i took her and we chose some makeup just some blush, lip gloss, and mascara (I think..? i'm not good with makeup..) Nothing extreme for her age (She's 13) And the person working at the counter gave us attitude and judged her age! I was very offended and my daughter was humiliated.

My review is directed at the Cosmetic & Skincare department of this store, and location...The Elizabeth Arden display is disgusting. There are empty containers all lined up by products, that I was informed by a rude employee that they are demo containers. There is no logic to this because they are empty, dirty containers, and there is no need for them to be on display if there is no product to sample in them. There are many testers that are empty, and several testers that have gone rancid - expired - bad. I have also contacted Elizabeth Arden customer care, and their representative for this area/store location. Further, the front counter is always cluttered with boxes, and product all over the place. Empty kleenex boxes, no garbage access. All displays with haphazard and dirty testers. I am in this store every day, and this is typical every day, not a one time experience. I also work in the beauty industry, and have Elizabeth Arden as a product we sell, so I know the standard that Shoppers Drug mart at this location is failing miserably at. I am addressing the Arden one, but that's only because it's the worst. None of the product brand displays are up to much at all. I would avoid this location for any cosmetic or skin care needs. Unsanitary, and unprofessional. Whomever the manager is in this area, needs to take accountability..

The review is solely for the pharmacy.. I tried calling several times, and they just dont pick up the phone (waited one time for over 20 minutes before giving up). When I'm at the store, I seen them first hand letting the phone rings. They choose not to pick it up.The customer service here is terrible, and something needs to be done. This is not okay.

just came for the 2nd time here. Same situation. I was followed by security guard for just minded my own business with my airpods on. 2nd time, didn't notice that he was actually behind me! Almost step on him while I was looking at items. He followed me until I paid and was out. What his problem. Harassing customers like that for no reason. I had never experience this situation since I was a teenager. What the hell!!! Reading all the previous comments, I've decided to put my own since the situation didn't change.

The security situation is beyond awfull, with being chased around to not giving two craps and it’s frankly uncomfortable in there. I only go in for cosmetics and snacks and they NEVER re-stock the items , it is all over the place honestly and I hope they will fix everything that’s going on
