I recently had a disappointing experience with a Star Electronics, specifically dealing with a person named Kevin. Initially, I called the Kingsway location, only to be told by Kevin that they were no longer operating there and that he was now working out of his home in Surrey 15751 106A Avenue. He invited me to bring my TV to his house for repair.
However, what Kevin failed to mention was that he intended to charge just to look at the TV, which was a surprise when I arrived. Due to this lack of transparency, I chose not to leave my TV with him. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that Kevin was not being upfront, and I couldn’t trust him with my electronics.
I would advise others to be cautious and consider these points before deciding to do business with this shop. Honest communication is crucial in running a business, and this experience fell short of that standard.

I don't like to post a negative review but I feel like I was treated pretty dishonestly. My devices were not fixed but the guy said they were. And parts are missing. Completely impossible to communicate with the guy, like intentionally.

I took a radio here for repair, and they weren’t able to fix it. Communication from the shop was non-existent, I called every few weeks to check on the status and it took many many weeks for parts to come and repairs to begin, and in the end it couldn’t be fixed. When I went to pick up the radio, it was returned to me in pieces, useless. Don’t bring anything here to be fixed

Could give a 0 star if i could. Taken in as part of warranty process from Viewsonic . Most unprofessional business I've dealt with. STAY AWAY. And for the manufacturers contracting with Star Electronics - Please FIND SOMEONE ELSE - these guys make you look bad.
Note: three weeks after delivering it to them, it's still not fixed. I ended taking back the unrepaired monitor.

I am not sure how business like this still open in Canada. I could rate David zero or even consider scam. I have contacted the star electronics to see if they can fix a MCB board and David said you can bring it to take a look. so I had to pay 60 bucks and wait for a couple of days to see if this is fixable and he said he will contact me back. I have never get the phone call back and I follow up and he said it’s fixed and I can pick up with an extra $52 more as my invoice but there’s no way for me too test it. I went back home and tested it and it failed. it is getting funny when I took the MCB board back. He was talking about Google review and I said yes I would give you a good review when you fix this. Later, I realized he was talking about the review that someone put with the same experience as mine for him and he’s not happy with it and wants me to remove it. I told him that it’s not my review and why would I give you a review if I’m still working with you , anyway he’s not accepting it and threatening me and also not giving back my fixed MCB as well to take it somewhere else. I lost money, treated owe fully, accused for lying and can’t get my board back.

DO NOT RECCOMEND!Before bringing the industrial controller to this workshop, I sent an email with a photo to see if he could repair this one. He answered "yes, we fix, just bring to my store". When I gave him the cotroller for repair, he said he would let me know in 2 days what was going on. He didn't call or answer. When I came back after 3 days he said he wasn't able to open it becouse it's too difficult for him! So why did you reply that you can fix such things?! I spent few hours in travel! He didn't want to give back $60 for a diagnosis he didn't make. He wasted my time and money. He is a fraud.

I rated David with zero stars in my review due to his unprofessional behavior and suspicion of being a scammer. On November 30th, I approached him to fix a broken battery for my gun massager, and despite agreeing to the repair for $60 within 2-3 days, he failed to communicate. When I followed up on December 5th, he claimed to have online orders, quoted a new price of $200, and insisted on a partial payment despite my decision to cancel. Despite paying $30, when I went to pick up my gun massager on December 6th, he refused the agreed-upon payback, leaving me frustrated and questioning his credibility as a professional. I called him out on his unfulfilled promises and demanded proof of his qualifications, finding his excuses to be nothing but lies.Hello everyone, do not go to shop there and professional scammer but if you want safety and your save moneyTake care of yourself

He was very honest. I thought my radio needed to be cleaned and fixed and was prepared to pay for it, all it needed was an antenna.He put a piece of wire on it and it was fixed. Free of charge even. Extremely happy with his service and honesty. Thank you.

I'll never bring anything there again!, had brought in a gaming system, needed a new laser,was told 3weeks later, that it needed to be ordered from China, ok fine, said possibly a week, I've left messages, emails, checking up from my end, asking for (Any) feedback, nothing, had to go back to the twice after dropping it off, because no response from there end. 4 month's in total, no feedback, finally went in again, Said couldn't fix it, I'm like really?, I have waiting for a response for 4months f-all!, so I take into another repair place, was told the last guy didn't even open it up to see for lose wires, connecting power sources, dust accumulation & such, A 3day wait it will be 52.00$,& not wasting my flickin time& money., Like Starr , horrible customer service... give them a 2 thumbs down...
