East West Market 41st Avenue is a great affordable grocery store in Kerrisdale with low prices compared to other produce stores. It has most of what you might need for regular cooking, including herbs, spices, and Asian dish ingredients. Many find they can get everything they need for a week without going to bigger supermarkets. The store is always changing layouts and trying new things. Staff are generally described as great, friendly, kind, patient, respectful, and polite. However, one staff member is repeatedly described as rude and grumpy, creating bad experiences for some customers. Customers appreciate the dedication to improving and encourage supporting this small business.
Great affordable grocery store that has most of what you might need. I find I can get by most weeks just shopping here and various other stores on the street without having to go to save on.They’re always changing the store around to try new things and layouts, and I appreciate their dedication to always improving.
