"value on" and they advertise "lower than government prices". The prices here are I'd say slightly higher than the average store. Their singles selection is meh and well above government pricing. They didn't have any well priced option or any appealing prices for singles.Sure maybe they have some things below government pricing, but every liquor store can say that. On average their prices are definitely worse than a government store. Government stores also tend to have at least one or two good sale options. Their advertisement and name is just designed to mislead customers, it has nothing to do with actually having good prices. It's a pretty large store, I guess their economy of scale benefits go towards their margin. Definitely going on my "do not return" list.

Stopped in right in the morning to grab a mix for coffees. Service is terrible, no greeting, asked where something instead of being shown where it was given confusing and instructions. I didn’t touch a single bottle, kept my hands in my pockets. The person I was with was making the purchase. When asked for ID, left my wallet in the car so I left the store. Then I was rudely called back by the cashier. I grabbed it and turned to walk back in, and couldn’t get through the exit. I turned to go back to the entrance to when I was again rudely called back again. Not sure why the door was kept open so I could return with my ID. I get it that there are rules, but instructions can be given without being rude and condescending. I’ve never had this experience at any other liquor store government or privately owned. Not sure why people who lack people skills work customer facing jobs. If I ever go back, I’ll adhere my ID directly to my forehead.

False claims is the name of the game. Although the sign says lower than BC Government stores, it’s just not true. I compared “regular” (not sale) prices on several products and although not as high as other private liquor stores, they are not lower. They are higher. For example, a case of beer $25.99 regular price at BC Government Store is $26.79 at Value. A can of a Caesar is $4.49 at Value compared to “regular” price at Government store at $3.99. The list continues. I was not going to hold up the line for the sake of a dollar or two, as the clerk when I mentioned this wanted to check. Not sure what the plan was at that point, but I wasn’t going to aggravate people over this.Still the store has a very good selection, easy parking, and I would still shop there - as much as I find false advertising to be criminal in nature.

Drove a long way for a bottle of wine that ended up being mislabeled and out of stock. The manager went above and beyond to make things right. Excellent customer service. Top notch.

I’ve only started to shop here recently, but the prices and selection will probably make me a returning customer. Special thanks to Susan for being genuinely helpful during my visit. Shout out to her for demonstrating exemplary customer service!

Regularly visit when we need to pick something up for ourselves or as gifts for clients. The prices are great, usually we can find something we like on sale! The staff are there if you have any questions

Very poor and rude service. You can buy liquor anywhere in the city so if you don’t want a negative attitude towards you avoid the this place.

The service is not very friendly. Each time the guy at the counter stares at me as if I'm a criminal, then competely dismisses me because I won't tip him for his terrible service. What special service does this store provide to deserve a tip at all? Absolutely nothing.Their selection is nothing special, just a bunch of staples every liquor store has.In hindsight liquor stores are all over the city with much better selection and much better service so don't bother shopoing here.
