Recently changed the focus of the store to bedding and linens -- a niche that Vancouver desperately needs. It was refreshing to walk in the store, have friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff help and actually be familiar with the products being sold. Nice selection that had me drooling. (Compare and contrast to trying to buy bedding at Hudson's Bay where one is hard-pressed to find anyone on the floor and when you do, they are grumpy and miserable and don't know anything about the products and don't really care to help you). Best of all, West Elm Market often has a sandwich board outside advertising "everything 25% off".

Sounds ridiculous, but they have literally the best brownie I have ever eaten. It is light and fudgy. The barista also made me a lovely cappuccino with teensy tiny microfoam--yum! Seriously, that brownie. Love.

We stop here every time we visit Vancouver from Seattle! In one place we can grab a coffee and stock up on home goods! The sale items are always clearly marked, the market vibe is very seattle for us and we love it, and the normal West Elm is just next door. Always super friendly and helpful staff. A great atmosphere and positive vibe. We've almost always found something great on sale everytime we've been here! Not sure if that's a coincidence or consistency but we aren't complaining!

Ordered a Smeg Toaster, was told it would take 8 weeks because they order it directly from the manufacturer in Italy. Pretty long, but whatever, it's from Italy, and I'm not in a crazy rush to make toasted bread. 9 weeks later, after not hearing anything from them, I call them up, and am told it would actually take 8-10 weeks. 2 weeks later (total of 11 weeks), still no updates on where the toaster is or if it'd been ordered from the manufacturer at all. Was told there was "no way for them to know". Canceled the order. If you don't have something in stock, you probably shouldn't put it up for sale in your shop. --- Update: After cancelling my order, I ended up ordering the exact same toaster (same make, model, colour) from The Bay-- it arrived in a week.

Friendly and helpful staff! Love the store. It's always very organized and there is so much to look at. Great place to shop for yourself or look for gifts. Check it out if you're in the neighbourhood...

I like some of their things, and would be willing to pay that extra bit for the perfect gift. However, both times I've been the store in the last three months I have been treated rudely by staff - I wasn't browsing but holding products that I wanted to buy. I won't be going back again.

They're close to West Elm which is a few stores down. This one is small and narrow but still well organized. They specialize in kitchen and bathroom accessories. I came here to get a few face towels for my bathroom and a few for my kitchen. Decently priced. Customer service was okay.

I either haven't been to South Granville for a really long time or just haven't noticed this place until today. We were in that hood today attempting to do some Christmas shopping for my in laws. I was going to see if they had anything at West Elm when I noticed "la Colombe Coffee" written on a window two doors down and my eyes popped out of my head. I first tried that coffee in NYC in late spring and it was so good that I finished the first one walking past another location two blocks away and got another. West Elm Market is a happy surprise also. I wanted everything there from woven rope dog chew toys shaped like penguin and moose to Krups coffee dispenser. The prices are reasonable and many items were on sale. The service is friendly and attentive without being pushy. I got some rice bran lip balm, cookbook stand (for my iPad), mini silicon spatulas (otherwise known as the getter of that last bit of peanut butter), and the most deliciously smooth macchiato ever. The barista was training a new staff and you could tell she really knew her stuff and cared about great coffee. I'm so happy have found this place, and soon will be going back for that coffee maker and a super soft touque.

A new store on Granville. The Market is a satellite store of West Elm wich is part of Williams-Sonoma , so with those three and Pottery Barn (also part of WS) they have that block pretty well locked up. Anyway, my 5 stars goes to customer service really. I had the most wonderful experience with the staff there and my 16 month old son. It felt very much like a small town community shop. they actually looked after my son while I shopped. not a common occurence but wow what a pleasant one. the staff get 5 stars! the store itself is quite lovely and carries a wide range of household products. a great assortment of kitchen items. they also sell great coffee (beans)

EC I think you hit this place on it head good looking items at fairly high prices to keep up with jones of other High End Granville Housewares stores. Not sure what the West Elm Market Magnetic customer pull will be but the store was full when I was there.

This is a new shop that opened this week. They sell wide range of kitchen accessories, appliances, soaps, soy candles, and some groceries. The prices are a bit expensive but quality is quite good. The design of products looks very like Pottery Barn and some of the items do look good. This place is a addition to the south granville shopping area which is good area to browse and maybe make a purchase.
