“I have always gone to CARSTAR Victoria (Pre-Tech Collision) for everything - from serious accidents to minor fender bender body damage. They are very open, kind and understanding, walking you through the entire process, always keeping you updated on the status of your vehicle, they usually have loaner vehicles to use in the meantime while yours is getting repaired, and your vehicle always comes out looking good as new. “BMW X7 M50i - rear end was struck in a parking lot causing 20k in damage to both tailgates and bumpers. The X7 was parked and unoccupied; still waiting on ICBC to waive my liability. Nonetheless, I can’t say enough about the quality of craftsmanship that Distinctive put into this job. Unlike other body shops, they kept two key points in mind - the complexity of German vehicles, and how much their owners love them. You can clearly see they how much pride they take in their work in these before and after photos.
To top it off, their customer service is second-to-none. They arranged my rental vehicle of equal size (I didn’t have to go from a large luxury SUV to a basic compact sedan), kept me informed every step of the way, and fully detailed the vehicle inside out upon completion.
They made just one small mistake-I got a text saying my vehicle would be ready by the end of the day, so I drove down from Nanaimo to pick it up. When I got to Victoria they called and said they couldn’t get the exhaust back on in time and it wouldn’t be ready until after the weekend. I was quite frustrated having driven almost 2 hours for nothing, but manager Matt was extremely apologetic and even compensated me for my time + fuel. It’s water under the bridge for me as I know they simply just wanted it to be perfect, and let me tell you, perfect it is!
I highly recommend Distinctive Autoworks to anybody looking to have their luxury vehicle repaired. They take great care of your vehicle and even better care of you.

“I have been going here for years to pick up things here and there for my vehicles. Every single time I go, no matter who I talk to, each staff member is so helpful. “10/10 would cross water again
My wife and I live in Chilliwack, and we bought our vehicle from a dealership in Victoria. That normally sounds like a logistical puzzle involving ferries, snacks, and careful planning. Somehow, this turned out to be the easiest car-buying experience we have ever had.
We just bought a new-to-us 2016 Acura RDX, and from the moment we stepped off the ferry, Eddie from Campus Acura was there like some sort of automotive concierge, or possibly a long-lost friend we just had not met yet. He picked us up at the terminal, created zero stress, applied zero pressure, and delivered 100 percent good vibes. If buying a car was always like this, people would do it recreationally.
Eddie was knowledgeable, patient, genuinely funny, and made sure both of us felt comfortable and informed the entire time. He somehow managed to make the whole process feel easy, which I am pretty sure goes against several dealership stereotypes. No rush, no awkward sales energy, just outstanding service from start to finish.
Then there is Doug in finance. We do not know how he did it, but he made paperwork fun. We went in braced for soul-crushing forms and left impressed and smiling, which feels like a rare achievement in itself. If Doug ever starts a podcast about contracts, we would absolutely subscribe.
We drove away thrilled, confident, and genuinely happy with our purchase, and mildly suspicious that car buying is not usually allowed to be this pleasant.
