I visited this location at 5:10pm on Sunday February 25th and would like to preface this by saying that the only information regarding hours of the store shows it closes at 6 PM on Sundays.I ran into an emergency this evening where my truck battery suddenly died. As a mom of two young kids, I frantically searched online for somewhere to buy a replacement. After using the helpful battery selector tool on the CT website, seeing the battery I needed was in stock and I still had a solid hour before they closed, I went to the Langford location.I went straight to the automotive department and showed the employee that was at the till behind the automotive counter a photo of the battery I needed for my vehicle. She told me she can’t sell me a battery. I asked her why and she said “the guy who can sell them just went home a few minutes ago”. I was extremely surprised by this as she stood in front of the wall of car batteries. I asked for more clarification as to why she couldn’t sell one to me and she said it has to do with the warranty. I told her about my situation and how it was an emergency and she told me there was nothing she could do. I asked her why nowhere on the website it says that the auto department closes an hour before the rest of the store or that there needs to be a specific type of person working in order to buy one to which she replied “I don’t know, you should take it up with upper management”.While standing there, another gentleman came up and said that he needed to buy a battery for his dead vehicle where she explained to him the same thing. He was understandably surprised by this too. A third person came up to the desk and asked why batteries couldn’t be sold. While laughing, Ruth explained that she just couldn’t sell them to us.This was such a frustrating interaction and experience while already dealing with something very anxiety inducing. The Langford Canadian Tire needs to update their hours accordingly or include information as to why you can’t just walk in and buy a battery at certain times of the day.All other local shops like Lordco were closed but we were able to find a battery at Walmart which we had absolutely no problem purchasing right off the shelf…

They have a push button by the locked cases for when you want an item. I pushed the button but gave up after a long wait when nobody came. I mentioned this to the cashier when I bought another item. She asked me what aisle it was and when I told her she said there wasn't anyone available for that aisle today. Not good service and really no point in having the button. Lastly, it was a rainy quiet morning and there were few customers in the store. So no excuses.

Bought a mastercraft ceiling heater which was recalled in 2022 but I was never informed. I bought it using a visa and my triangle rewards, so CT had my purchase information but never called to inform me about the units catching fire. Which it caught fire in my garage and almost burnt down my house. The CT manager said there was no way for them to be able to contact me to inform me about the recall which I find very inaccurate because Costco is able to email and call me when I have purchased an item to inform me about the recalls.

This has nothing to do with Canadian Tire per se, but rather everything to do with the Party City department within the store.I live far enough away from the store that just popping in is not a convenient option, and while I was passing through Langford, I stopped in to arrange for 2 helium 34" balloons to be prepared for a birthday party this coming weekend. When I arrived at 520pm, the Party City desk was closed and I was informed that no one at the store could help me and I'd have to come back. I asked if I could call an order in the following day and the answer was yes.Fast forward to today and I made a call (took me 3 times to get a live person, but I get it, people in the store take priority over the phone calls) only to be told that no, I can't call in a balloon order, I have to come to the store. There was a mention of doing an online order, so I thought great...I'll do that and went online only to discover the balloons I want cannot be purchased online and I'd have to come in.Another phone call later to ask, and no, I still can't order over the phone....so I guess no balloons for the birthday party, which prompted a feeble apology and a have a good day followed by the call being disconnected.I ended up calling the next nearest store and they had no issue taking my order over the phone, so it looks like I have new favorite Canadian Tire, despite the extra distance. Any of my future business will now be there instead of this store.

It's a standard Canadian Tire, about what you'd expect.Things I'd like improved - the ability to search for items and get accurate results for where it is and whether it's in stock.

They are moving everything around right now so it's not as organized as it usually is. Lots of inventory. The shelves are very well stocked. Dealing with a deep cycle battery issue is a bit of a problem.

No one answers any phones. Tried party city 3 times, customer service once and store manager once. Gave up after those 5 attempts as there are over a dozen different choices. All calls just ring until it reroutes back to main menu. In person experience is usually average or slightly above average at this store but prefer not to waste time to drive there for a yes or no question over the phone. Did not want to leave a review like this but if you’re reading and thinking about calling the store, be aware you might have a hard time.

The ONLY reason I didn't give five stars, was an all too familiar, flagrant disregaurd of basic customer service. I always check on-hand counts of products since I'm traveling a fair distance. Knowing there were 7 in stock jugs of kerosene, I proceeded. When confronted with an empty shelf, I asked the nearest associate if there were anymore available, to which they quickly replied "the home is empty so we don't have any", seemingly annoyed that I had asked. I then begged the same question of the cashier at the front if she could check the inventory. It showed there were in fact 7 available in the back. Thank you cashier's who know what you're doing, however I expect big box stores to hold themselves to the highest level of courteous and thorough customer service.

Worst Canadian tire ever with the most stupid employees not even able to scan your product correctly. They don’t even process your returns promptly even when it’s their mistake! Very rude behavior instead of respecting their customers.

The "manager" Ruth has no sense of customer service. I guess Canadian Tire will hire just about anyone with no skills. I definitely won't be shopping there anymore.

The floor manager Jonathan was dismissive and rude. Took things out of my hands without looking at me. Told me he would meet me at the register. I stood my the register for 5 minutes before looking around the store for him again. When I found him he was rude and dismissive. I happened to witness the same behavior towards an elderly woman asking him for help as well. The store is fine. Not a fan of rude floor managers. He would probably be better at stocking shelves.
