Terrible customer service. Credit card stopped working in stores. They were not able to solve this by phone and asked me to come to the branch. I came to the branch teller, and they said I need an appointment with an officer! All this waste of time just to make a credit card work!

We use this bank for business purposes, and I have to say, it's one thing to be busy and have to wait, which I don't mind, but when you're waiting for the same two customers with only two tellers for 45 minutes and you can hear them talking about their families, travels, or where they live, etc., wondering when they'll start serving them martinis, it's unacceptable and inefficient. Suggestions: If a client needs something that will take more than 20 minutes, they should schedule an appointment, and if there are more than 10 people in line, you should get another teller and set up a business line. - Note that this is addressed to CIBC in Downtown Victoria at Douglas and View.

Very terrible service as they gave me hard time getting my money as the lady treated me like I am not a Canadian citizen and asked me for a permanent residence card yet I am a citizen.

Out of country service is abysmal. 7 hours on the phone trying to get them to understand I need my expired cards couriered, not mailed. Without my new cards, I can't access my account to withdraw money or access my account online. I emailed and called, and nothing. So I am putting all fees, etc on to them, I don't care anymore. Corey at the Douglas street location never responds, no one does. If they can't do their jobs and I can't access my accounts, even though I've tried for 3 months now to simply get a card couriered to me, then THIS IS ON THEM. I am changing my bank from CIBC to another.

Ishtpreet Mata knows what true customer service is. I moved to Victoria from Seattle and went to multiple banks and can confidently say his customer service was the best I encountered.
