Mindy Zong was the person who I had a meeting with, she was racist and also keep asking me about my visa status. If a person from YMCA was not with me at the time I would not be able to open a RESP for my son. Terrible experience at this branch! I’ll still have problems with the account that she opened to me.

This branch had to deal with my mess up of over promising and under delivering from the Sidney BC CIBC.The customer service person had to email the Sidney branch and check various in boxes for my corresponding paperwork. Had trouble printing out the documents and needed the manager to assist. He didn’t really say anything .

Visited this branch on December 8th and we were assisted by a very helpful and friendly rep. named, Mariam. What a credit this woman is to CIBC. Went over and above to assist us with a matter that was of some concern. We left the branch feeling much better that all had been taken care of so well by Mariam. Her warm and welcoming attitude was a ray of sunshine on yet another cloudy day in Victoria. Thanks again Mariam!Also, the "greeter" (sorry don't have your name, Asian woman in the beautiful, print dress) was very nice as we came and also left the branch. Very welcoming and friendly.Branch looked clean and professional throughout. Even the ATMs looked cleaner than most.All good based on this experience!?

CIBC funds and invests billions of dollars every year in fossil fuels contributing to global warming. They help fund the destruction of our futures. Other banks are doing significantly more to lessen their impact, so why bank with CIBC? Consider switching to an alternative (credit union or other bank), until CIBC takes actions to divest.

Customer service means nothing here.Bank manager Juanita Yang hides behind teller and refuses to speak to me.Applied for credit card. 2 months later have not received it. Called customer service and was told the application was never sent. Had to go back to branch to sort it out.Waited at branch again to speak to someone enough though I made an appointment.No use calling or emailing them. They don't get back to you. Even emailed and called the branch manager and got no response.Terrible.

I wanted to deposit some Japanese yen. The teller that I spoke to told me that the bank would not accept the Japanese currency. I asked the reason, and the teller said that for unknown reason the system was not accepting foreign currencies, and that I should go to Money Mart instead. I asked if this was CIBC-wide and permanent, and the teller said yes. I went to a different branch right away, and to my surprise (well, not really), I was able to deposit my Japanese yen without any issues. I do not appreciate lies.

Often 45 min wait to a hour to drop off deposits. One tellar working with a line up of 10 to 15 people waiting. You have three extra computers up at the front. Hire staff and improve customer experience. You have other staff who are walking by and look at the line but not once offered to help.

Exactly what others have experienced In these reviews hardly any branches open, No convince if hours to find one that is staffed and not just internet machines in branch and when find one open one teller but lots of managers Or people walking around not helping Customers. If you have business that needs personal teller service, plan an hour to wait in line before the one teller can assist. Terrible bank customer service and hours and it’s not Covid has been like this for years!

CIBC you know how to do customer service. Perhaps some financial institutions should learn from it. When it comes to general financial services the differentiator is customer service and how you help clients achieve their goals. I had a call experience with them and a visit to the Mayfair mall location. Met with Mengzhe and he dealt with professionalism and was very friendly. This guys gets it. By the way the new decor is amazing as well.

Who ever is managing this branch needs a lesson in how to staff their location properly. Their pure lack of customer service experience is horrific!! If you want better customer service and a feeling that they care about you as a customer and as a client go to a different branch.You can do better CIBC, you should be ashamed of this location!! It is embarrassing listening to what people are saying while waiting in line about this location. Shame on you!!
