There was an East Indian employee that DISRESPECTED & THREATENED my fianćee.I asked my fianćee to come check our CIBC mastercard account since the app would not let us check on what our balance is. I've been busy at work so I sent my fiancée over since I thought it was a joint bank account just like our TD accounts.Our card got stuck in the machine and she requested for help. The other employees were nice & friendly except for this particular Indian employee that was extremely rude.IF I had known she would get threatened AND disrespected, I would have never sent her there.I understand that for users protection, the person with the name of the card need's to come in person and grab the card.But instead of diffusing the situation, why escalate further to the point where you Threaten or Disrespect somebody?We've been thinking of fully switching over from TD after 15+ years to CIBC, but this fella gave me many reasons why we shouldn't.If you dont want to get threatened or disrespected at an establishment, don't come to this bank.

Poorly managed, lack of staff accountability and Imperial Advisors who will not return phonecalls or emails (and thats their premium level client service!!)The entire customer experience dealing with this branch has been "TERRIBLE & FRUSTRATING".Escalating to the branch manager has done nothing to improve service levels.Its no wonder this branch has a poor average review score.

I have left several messages to my Dad's Financial Advisor and the main branch and never received any call back. Even though they said they would on their message. Wondering if I should move my Dad's investments. Unfortunately I cannot give less than 1 star. Good job CIBC!!!!

This review is a difficult one because I've had several issues with CIBC in general over the last 6 weeks which left me wondering if I should continue banking with them at all.However, once I presented the problems to a teller named Jeffery, he was able to fix the problems in a timely fashion. These where complicated issues that not even CIBC telebanking could fix after I had called them several times.Jeffery deserves more than 5 stars. He clearly knows what he's doing and has excellent people skills. He's a guy who knows how to get things done properly!Thank you!

I had been having many technical issues with my account and couldn’t get through to a helpful receptionist. Thankfully when I decided to go to this branch I was met with a very helpful gentleman named Jeffery, he listened to my situation and did everything he could to help. Jeffrey went above and beyond and followed up with me several times until my issues were resolved. Exceptional service, made me feel like family.

Very disapointed with this bank. My partner and I were totally mislead. We were under the impression that ths high interest savings account was going to pay out 4.5% monthly for the first 4 months. We called cibc to calify that we would recieve these payouts monthly. On a seperate occation also talked to a financial advisor and specifically asked if we had $100,000 in our account we would recieve $4,500 monthly. He assured us this was true. Anyways a month has past and its become clear that this is a yearly 4.5% paid out monthly. Not at all what we were told. Anyways when a company grows this big no one is accountable. Its just annoying to be lied to on 3 seperate occations (online, on the phone and by cibcs financial advisor). Thanks for nothing cibc. You are just as dirty as the rest of the banks.

I haven’t been enamoured with CIBC for many years, but needed an account with them because I switched my banking to an Online Banking service attached to CIBC. I needed change on Wed., April 6 and went to the bank — I waited and waited and waited. For 15 minutes I waited as a single cashier soldiered on serving customers. Bank officers wandered through the area and did nothing to alleviate the problem. I will not return. If I need change, I will use the Downtown branch.

I should like to acknowledge Jeffrey at the Oak Bay Victoria branch for his exemplary professionalism as well as his consideration and compassion.This young man has gone far beyond duty to assist a blind senior lady with an awkward and time consuming transaction.I would particularly like to bring this to the attention of his superiors.Thank you.

Easily the worst service I have ever received at a bank. The tellers are incapable of answering basic questions and the manager sits in his chair with his hands behind his head relaxing while there is a line up of people waiting for him, only for him to tell them after they've waited 20+ minutes that there's "nothing he can do for them". Save yourself the hassle and bank with RBC up the road, or even go out of your way to go to a professional establishment. Pure garbage.

Went to close a business account, they had one teller open, this guy Kevin came out of his office and offered to help. Thanks to him didn't have to wait however it would have been better if I waited. He was not helpfull at all. He didn't try, he said that I have to go to a different branch to close my account since I had opened there. Also, he said the monthly fee is charged always at the end of the month not a month in advance and my account fee was for July, basically he wanted me to pay for August as well. Week prior I was at another CIBC branch and what all Kevin said it was not true and unprofessional, Kevin offered me his business card, I had to say "I don't need it, I am not going to wasted". Awful experience, will move all my banking to somewhere else just because of people like Kevin who work at this branch
