Bought the King brand disdposable butane lighter. They last only a few dozen uses or so, complete waste of money, I really wonder if Costco does any serious review of these low quality products before passing them off on unsuspecting consumers. Makes me doubt everything Costco sells.

Busy but good as always, using the almost 8 cent lower price and cibc coscto card you get 3% cashback which is higher than 10 cents off on eso pumps with PC cards, Average effective cashback is around 13 cents with coscto. Not worth a long drive, is 7 mins away from me so I don’t mind.Longer wait but works out.

This place made me rage! Not the store itself, its Costco, its well stocked with great prices however it is to f*%^+ busy. Victoria needs another one. The people are rude af and will happily run into you. Nothing against the store itself but I will never be back to this shit show. Wanted a 1 star rating but that wouldnt be fair it is good, I would just avoid it like the plague

I very rarely ever have to wait long and they have the best price on the island.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE It's the only Costco in Victoria / southern Vancouver Island, so if you're on the Costco bandwagon (and not a die-hard Sam's / Walmart / Real Canadian Superstore fan) then this is the place for you!=== 2. PRODUCTS/SERVICES It's a Costco, so it's just like every other Costco around - this one has a gas bar (great!) but no car wash nor self-serve tire inflation (boo - wishful thinking). Food court (yay!), good products at good prices (yay!) and rotisserie chicken at Canadian prices (boo - queue the usual discussion of Canadian vs. US pricing :P )=== 3. SERVICE Overall, the customer service is decent; it's on par with some of the locations on the Lower Mainland, but some of the locations on the Lower Mainland still take the cake (e.g. downtown Vancouver, South Burnaby), and Bellingham's service still reigns supreme.=== 4. ENVIRONMENT It's big and open like nearly all other Costco locations. Wheelchairs and baby strollers work just fine and there's never an issue getting a shopping cart. Parking is plentiful the further you are from the entrance like many busy Costcos :)

I love coming to this location when I'm in town. It's very conveniently located near several other shops as well. They have plenty of parking available as well. I've never seen the store get overly busy, but weekends do tend to be busier than your average weekday. That being said, I've still been able to get in and out fairly quickly. The store has the same awesome deals and prices I'm use to in the U.S., perhaps even better since the selection is different. The real shining star of this location though is the food court. They have a kiosk to place orders just to the right of the food court. I'm so glad they've added this, because some previous visits the food court line was a nightmare I avoided. Now I can place my order and it's ready within minutes at the pickup counter. Some cool differences from the menu we have in the states would be the poutine, chicken tenders and fries, and the fact that they still have polish hotdogs. The service is always friendly and that poutine will have me coming back each time I'm on the island.

Wondering why the gas is sold only 2 to 4 cents cheaper than local market. Any other Costco gas station sells the gas at least 5 to 10 cents cheaper than local gas stations. Last time I went to fill up, was 2 days ago and the difference was only 2 cents. Am I paying a $60 annual membership to deal with a cheap local manager toward his members? Seems like the manager runs the gas station like any other business in Victoria: like a monopoly.

Between the inflation in the US and the favorable exchange rate, so much felt like a great deal here. Really we just stopped in to see what was different from the US, but left with a few items as well. While I didn't get to try it that day, loved that there was poutine in the food court!

Optical Department... On the five occasions I have visited to obtain new frames/lenses, the optician exam was good and professional. The demeanor of the counter staff however, (who sell and fit glasses) has ranged from curt to downright rude. Possible they are just stressed due to the volume as the limited area always seems to be uber-crowded but sheesh!
