I took my car to have my front bumper replaceson my 2014 Cruze. Months later while driving in the snow, my lower engine cover flipped down skidding on the road, causing me to be stranded. I took it to the nearest body shop (Urgel's Collision in Port Alberni) to have the damages inspected. Urgel's Collision found that the lower engine shield was installed incorrectly. They advised me to take my car and the part back to Fix Auto to have them fix what was done incorrectly. I had pictures to provide for them, showing how the screws were not installed correctly causing the failure of the engine sheild..... but they were not interested and was told that I had done this myself and sent me on my way. I do not recommend this company and will never go back.

Not sure why it says Fix Auto. I was reviewing BullDogI’ve been using Bulldog Auto for about 6 years. Dave has worked on several of my personal vehicles and a few of our company trucks. The latest was a complete brake job on my Ford F150. Dave has always been fair with his pricing and advice. It’s fixed on time and on budget. If he feels something is out of his wheelhouse, he’ll recommend the business with the equipment etc to fix it. I have no issue recommending Bulldog auto and giving him 5 stars.

Highly recommend. As someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars, I am always terrified to go to mechanics. The owner (Dave) was super nice and even brought me into the shop to show me exactly what was wrong. I highly recommend this place and I will be referring people, thanks so much Dave!Services: Steering & suspension repair

I have been to this Fix location a few times in the last 6 years for various windshield and body work and have always had great service. I had part of a door panel (Google tells me it's called "B pillar") replaced years ago and noticed in the last few months that it had faded and looked terrible as compared to all the other original panels of the car. I enquired with Fix about warranty for this, and although it was not covered under their warranty, they went above and beyond, contacted my car dealership and ended up getting the panel replaced at entirely no cost to me. In my experience, they truly stand by their work and do their best to ensure their customers are satisfied.Service: Body & Trim

Courteous. Professional. Prompt. Unlike the other places I called! My Jeep's windshield looks as good as the day it left the factory, and I was pleasantly surprised that they gave him a nice wash. Pricing was similar to the other estimates I was given from other shops, so no complaints there.

TL;DR If you get a courtesy vehicle, INSIST on seeing the spare key.Posting for my father. He took his car to Fix Auto to get some body work done after his parked car was hit by a schoolbus. They gave him a courtesy car while they conducted repairs. He came by our place one morning in the courtesy car to pick up his granddaughter to drive her to school. He pulled into our driveway on our quiet dead-end rural road and left it running while he walked the 10 feet to our front door. He knocked and his granddaughter came out and they walked back to the idling car but found that all the doors were now locked.I had never heard of that happening in the dozen or so cars I've driven in the past so I googled it and it turned out to be a well-known issue with those vehicles. I called the shop to explain what happened and to arrange to get the spare key as we were only a few blocks away. The woman on the phone was argumentative and feigned incredulity that this could ever occur in one of their vehicles, even after I explained the abundance of posts on Google showing it's not only clearly a common problem, but also that the top of the driver door sat 1/2" proud due to multiple previous instances of being opened by tow trucks (pic attached, taken before the most recent break-in). She informed me that they didn't have a spare key, and that we were fully on the hook for tow truck and gas burned while idling. Now I concede that my father should not have left it running, but I'd argue any reputable shop would keep a spare key, and with even a passing familiarity with their fleet would know about this issue and would have changed the simple setting on the dash that prevents it from happening.Perhaps I'm just old and nostalgic for a time when businesses actually cared about people, and were understanding in situations like this one where I'd argue the blame at best should be shared. Fix auto was only concerned about their bottom line with no consideration for the burden on a retired senior on a fixed income. I'll never forget the eye-roll of the tow truck driver when I told them they didn't have a spare key lol, amateur hour.Oh by the way, they did great body work.Service: Body & Trim

It seems that this company is not professional. I went there twice because I need a quotation to fix my car´s bumper. It´s been almost a month, I didn´t receive the quotation. Maybe they don´t interested in more customers. Anyway, I won´t come back and I no longer need this quotation. Good lucky for your business.Service: Painting

My SUV’s running board ran into a curb and got pushed backwards and scraping the rear wheel. I took the vehicle to Fix Auto on Jacklin. Cody from Fix Auto West Shore was so nice to me. He fixed the problem in just half an hour as a courtesy without any charge. Amazing! Moreover, I had body work fix before here for my previous vehicle: a sienna minivan. The price was very good and very reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you need any help about your vehicle.

Got a massive crack in my Subaru windshield from a big ol' rock kicked up on the highway driving back from work in Vic on Wednesday. Called these folks when I got home, they had me booked for a replacement the following Tuesday after taking some pictures of it. Dropped it off to them Tuesday morning and picked it up at 2pm the same day. Fast and excellent work. The windshield is good as new. Honestly I am really pleased with their service, they took care of the ICBC side and everything. Awesome to deal with and saved me a lot of headache. Would recommend for sure!Service: Auto glass repair
