“Stayed for about 2 weeks in late October into November. The hotel is a cute, old property that is mostly adults only, and it's perfect for a quiet romantic getaway. The room was amazing, the property was incredible, and the location was perfect. We were able to walk into the heart of downtown Victoria in less than 10 minutes, but it was far enough out of the core of the city that it was very quiet and nice in the neighborhood. The staff were all incredibly friendly and super helpful whenever we interacted with them. We arrived around midnight to check in, and we were greeted at the front desk by a gentleman who knew our name and was prepared to help us to our room with a plate of fresh fruit and home made cookies, which were delicious.
The daily breakfast is amazing. They have a roasting multi course menu that is worth the stay just by itself. We made a point to go for the meal every day we were able to.
This hotel was easily one of, if not, the best hotel experience we have ever had, and I cannot speak highly enough about it. I cannot recommend staying here enough.

Rooms: Our room was large and comfortable. We had a beautiful green marble bathroom and a large Jacuzzi tub. Incredibly comfortable.

Nearby activities: Downtown Victoria has a ton of things to do from the royal museum, to whale watching, numerous delicious restaurants and bars. The area surrounding is also beautiful just for a walk around to sight see.

Safety: Though Victoria has a problem with drug use and homelessness, we are from a large American city with mildly similar issues, and the unhoused in Victoria didn't seem too aggressive when we were there. Otherwise, the city feels extremely safe. Walking around morning, afternoon, evening, or late, we didn't feel unsafe at all.

Walkability: The city core is extremely walkable. There is a bunch to see and do that is drive-able in the surrounding areas, but the main downtown area is very pedestrian friendly and easy to get around in.

Food and drinks: Can't talk about the food enough. We ate at many of the restaurants in the area, and enjoyed a beer at a couple of the local breweries. Everything was fantastic and delicious.”

“We stayed for three nights. Booked thru Ferry Line. We upgrade to a Suite. Bigger than our Condo. Eight floor quiet and very little street noise. Free shuttle to Ferry. Great convenient location. Restaurant and Lounge on property. Staff is excellent and so friendly. As a extra bonus ATM on site. Parking free if you book thru Ferry Line. Also a small balcony and windows that open. Very Very Pleased.

Rooms: Some larger rooms and some more cozy. It's a bed and breakfast. That's just how they are.

“I had a heavenly staycation this week at my favourite local hotel. Gorgeous room, stunning ocean view, stellar service, super yummy room service and a big deep bathtub all made for a relaxing, rejuvenating night. Highly recommend.

Walkability: Scenic walking paths surround the property and take you into the heart of downtown.

Food and drinks: Food from Aura is always delish. Unique takes that feel like comfort food but better.”

“We can’t say enough good things about our experience at Solo Suites. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. The suites are spotless, modern, and beautifully designed. The attention to detail really stands out, everything is very well-equipped and the beds are so comfortable.

The location is perfect as well… it’s close to everything you need in Langford, yet tucked away enough that it feels relaxing and private. Check-in was smooth, the staff go above and beyond with making sure we were happy, parking was easy, and the entire property felt safe and well maintained.

What impressed us most was how comfortable and “at home” we felt during our stay. Whether you’re staying short-term or long-term, we can’t recommend Solo Suites enough. Our family will definitely be returning on our next visit to the island!”

“We loved everything about our room, AC worked great, large very clean room and the staff is super friendly, only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the the door was very hard to open from the inside and after our week stay I ended up with a tiny bruise lol, we will definitely return!!”
