Something as simple as currency exchange is a complete waste of time with this bank. Wait times are horrendous >20 minutes. You can't reach them directly via phone to see if they carry anything beyond the common 4 currencies. The general phone number transfers you to a general voicemail where you can't leave a message. Other banks pay a slightly less competitive exchange rate but will provide you with better service.

The review average here on Google is legitimate. This branch has a lot of people working in it, but a maximum of two tellers at a time. Lineups of only six or seven people can last half an hour or longer. Nothing has changed in over three years. When there are only three total locations in all of Victoria, this is unacceptable. I'll be changing banks a.s.a.p.

Sad excuse of a branch, went in and there were 2 tellers. Not 2 tellers working at the time; ONLY 2 teller/computers able to take in-person transactions.There were only 6 people in line, so I thought that ratio is not so bad-- biggest mistake of my life; I watched the person in front of me do a simple business deposit of ~3-5 cheques, and it took the teller 10 minutes to do it. He then deposited it in the wrong account; and it took another 10 minutes to finish that.When it came to me I needed to get access to online banking and reset my PIN; the teller took my ID and updated it without vocalizing what she was doing-- I am not even sure how she verified I was the right person as she just took my card and did not ask for my current PIN.She told me I could change my PIN there, so I felt comfortable depositing $1000. Later on, she told me I had to do it at the ATM.Went over there --- PIN EXPIRED; prompting me to go to the nearest HSBC branch-- back in the 30 minute line-up!!!. Amazing, stellar job guys; I was not able to change my PIN or get access to online banking; but the teller was more than happy to deposit cash into an account I learned too late that I have no access to.This is not O.K, and I want a response back for this miserable experience.

This bank exhausts me. Nothing is simple. I feel like Sysiphus trying to roll a massive boulder uphill every time I go in there.Time to shop around.

I Won't enter to this HSBC brand in this location again and, The teller name is Janice unhelpful and disrespectful to client.I have been waited for 40 minutes get to my turn and She couldn't wait for 1 minute to for me to show my account. She put closed sign on her table and asking another client come to her table. I went to next teller. JANICE she came over look at screen, I just deposit money to my account is easy job.

I had great service setting up online banking, updating my info and getting new bank card. No line up either.

If I could give this bank a 0 I would.I’ve been to the branch for the same issue twice now, and still don’t have it fixed. Sitting and waiting in hope this time, after no resolution both tries, as I need access to my account.

I attended a scheduled appointment at the branch March 13, 2021. The person (Carlos) helping me told me he would send me information regarding my mortgage per email. Now 9 days later I still have not received any of the information he promised. I have no phone number to call the branch directly. Poor service.

I really liked banking with the HSBC branch in Langford. However, since they have closed this branch and I have to go to Victoria to access my accounts I have become very dissatisfied with their services and am considering changing banks.

I have been with HSBC since 1994 and have in past been extremely happy. Since the closures of the Langford and Gateway Village branches I am now dissatisfied. The branch at Uptown is less than adequate. Lac of parking and no drive through ATM. Very disappointed in HSBC's decision to close Langford and relocate Gateway Village branches. Not so happy any more.

Since they moved at their current location, the service has been dismal. Just yesterday, trying to avoid the lineup I wanted to deposit $$ using the ATM. Both machines were not accepting deposits. We are seriously considering closing our accounts there. There are only 2 tellers now and often times, only one of them is available for service despite the line ups that are often seen there. There is a note on the desk asking for imput to improve customer service. It seems obvious that, when you have people in the Bank, both tellers should be available. A third teller would also help a great deal. Often times, there are 8 people waiting to be served and only one teller is open. If they are sincere in wanting to improve service, the obvious of having both tellers available as long as there are people in the branch.
