Gary and Bonnie are the least informed people I have ever spoken to that claim to be professionals. Their mistakes cost me hundreds of dollars, and even after admitting it was their fault they did nothing. The agent I dealt with is currently under investigation for fraud through ICBC fraud reporting .

We have used Hub for years and have always had the best service from Ken! We have had 4 cars at one time and he always contacts us with a reminder. He also gets back to us right away, so I never worry that I won’t have coverage. He takes care of my Mom too! Hub wouldn’t be the same without him?

ETA: I have heard from the VP of Sales and he has taken steps towards fixing this issue which I appreciate. I will update my review as needed.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I worked with Jonathan Fluery for a couple of years without issue. When my husband and I bought our first home I reached out to him to increase our life insurance. As he has now moved out of province (to my knowledge) he referred me to Jerid Leigh. My dealings with Mr. Leigh started out in an average manner. But, once all the paper work was signed, things quickly started falling through the cracks.
First, he suggested we go with a new insurance company to save a few dollars. Fine. I had no strong feelings about our old plan either way so what did I care. Went through the rigamoral of getting new life insurance (health questionaires, appointments with nurses, etc.) got the papers signed and all was well. However, I had to kind of badger him sometimes to get updates. I was told my plan was active but was not given the plan number, the cost, the dates of payments, etc. He eventually told me a date and amount of the first payment which ended up being incorrect and different from what was actually charged.
The crux of my frustration: I had emailed Jerid on May 22 indicating I needed to update my banking information for both plans (the “Old-Plan” which was still active and the “New-Plan” for when it would be active as it was still being assessed). I asked him who I needed top contact to get that changed. Jerid had responded requesting my new banking information and stated that he would "look after that". On June 25, there was a New-Plan payment taken out of the wrong bank account. I emailed Jerid on June 27 letting him know that the payment came out of the wrong account. He requested the banking information again and stated "I'm on it" in a subsequent email. However, on July 2 the Old-Plan payment in question (that should not have happened at all) was taken out of the old bank account. Then, on July 15, there was yet another New-Plan payment taken out of the old account.
On July 9, I requested a refund for the payment for the Old-Plan that shouldn’t have happened. He said he was trying to figure out if Hub or the Old-Plan would be responsible for the refund (which I found to be a bit ridiculous. It was a Hub employee’s fault that the payment went through at all so they should have automatically taken accountability for this).
By July 16 I still hadn’t heard anything about the refund and followed up. It was at this point I was provided with forms to cancel the Old-Plan… more than 6 weeks after it should have already been canceled and after multiple follow up emails. Where were these forms originally? Or even on July 9?
On July 24, he informed me that Hub would be providing the refund but was not sure if it would be via cheque or direct deposit.
After no further information yet again I followed up today and was told that his manager informed him that the refund would take another 1-2 WEEKS. I’ve been trying to get in touch with his direct supervisor or even just a branch manager and have been met with silence.
Needless to say, I will NOT be using Hub in the future for my insurance needs. It is also worth stating that in my job I work closely with insurance plans. I OFTEN have small business’ and private individuals asking me what insurance I recommend. I will be telling them NOT to use Hub at any and all costs after these dealings.
