“Waiting for our afternoon tea at the Fairmount Empress, my husband and I stopped to browse the jewelry store. Brandon heard us talking and showed me some rings. We ended up buying a beautiful sapphire eternity band. Brandon was awesome! He thoroughly explained shipping to the states, tax implications and the great rate of exchange. He did not push us to buy anything but just seemed to enjoy talking w us and showing us the beautiful pieces. So happy we browsed the store.”

Excellent service, as he was not getting any additional business out of this.

Prices are reasonable, I feel, compare to buying brand new. And they stand behind their sold product and fixed them free of charge for me, if anything broke. This is my go to place for jewelry in town.
Running a business is expensive in Victoria and the costs are pretty steep for rents and vages.
There are quite a few people working in there. Those who complain about prices don't understand what it takes to run a small business in town.”

While on vacation we stopped by Side Street for a hostess gift. Jill is the sixth owner of this gallery and she provided a brief history of the gallery and we discovered we grew up in the same area in Southern Ontario. Prices suited for any budget but very competitive. We forgot to ask but we hope Side Street hosts events to showcase resident artist's works. Gift wrapping available upon request. I stumbled in on a jewelry hunt and ended up getting an earring hole that had closed re-opened, and a sparkly new nose stud, plus a reminder that I love all my piercings and should definitely adorn them like I used to.
