Poor service from start to end. On initial booking they got my name wrong (no big deal I understand, right?) I arrive for my appointment to have my brakes inspected, after inspection the guy at the counter tells me my brake booster is leaking and is very dangerous and not to drive my car to my next destination… but he cannot source the part. And so sent my on my way absolutely bamboozled and now stranded, as i am just passing through the area.
The next day I manage to source the part, and make another booking with this kaltire (still on the system as my new apparent alias, which I have tried to correct). Another mechanic this time looks at the car and the part, says the part isnt very good but this issue doesn’t make my car unsafe and can be driven?!?!?
I had to extend my stay in Victoria, and waste a lot of time and money as I was told my car was unsafe to drive.
I ended up taking my car to the make’s dealer service department only to be told there is nothing wrong with the brake booster at all. (And addressed by my correct name the whole time)
Im a young single foreign female who just needed some guidance but all i had was wasted time and money. Would not recommend:(

I was stopped at a light and a Kal tire employee in a truck behind me knocked on my window to tell me my tire was almost flat
I was just a block from Kal tire . It turned out it was a screw but before they had a chance to see that I was offered a new tire for free ...warranty on my tires from them. Without the employee behind me and the great service scary to think what might have happened. Thank you all.

I worked for Kal Tire in Edmonton for a couple years in 2001-02 and have only ever purchased tires for my 7 vehicles from Kal tire since then! Yesterday I showed up at 4:10pm with a loose wheel/tire that needed a screw removed and plugged. Young guy working the counter said I doubt we can get to it today we close at 5, maybe have it ready for you tomorrow. As a loyal customer of over 20 yrs and an ex employee, being told they can’t take care of a simple 10 minute job with 50 minutes till closing is lazy and unacceptable!
So I drove down the road to OK Tire, they were visibly much busier then Kal Tire, but the guy at the counter had one of his guys take care of the flat repair and had it back to me by 4:35pm! Kal Tire will get no more business from me in the future because of this lazy lack of customer service.

Went for a quote for new tires. The young guy who was with me was very nice, but he was struggling to find the prices, etc. (Not blame him at all), he told me he needed to ask something to the manager who was right there in front of me. (Not sure if he was the manager or not but apparently it was), completely ignored me like I am a ghost, talking to the young guy instead of me just steps from him, then asked about the sensors replacement, I asked him how many years they last, he answered me: they are 60 dollars the piece (not what I asked), and finally I asked if they do transmission oil service, I didn't understood what they told me due to me struggling sometimes with the language), English is not my first language), asked again to the kid, saying I didn't wanted oil change for the engine, the manager or whoever was that person told me not in a very nice way: We don't do transmissions here, I don't know if it is me but if I am going to spend some money in replacing my tires at this place the least I can hope is that they treat me nice... not coming back...

The service at the Kal Tire on Keating Cross Road was outstanding, surpassing other store locations and shops. The manager, Bo, provided phenomenal customer service, alleviating all my worries about my car troubles.

As a LEAF owner, I know our brakes last forever, but lubing the brake sliding pins is crucial to long pad life and anti seizing of the calipers. While getting the free tire rotation, a brake inspection pointed out the minor service needed and the peace of mind knowing the remaining pad thicknesses. Maybe good for another 100K!!

After discovering a problem with my right front tire( screw embedded) I attended Kal Tire at 3.00pm..service staff were most polite and professional.Due to a client cancelling an appointment I was lucky to step.in his place. The service technician inspected the tire, and completed the repair within 30 minutes.This is my second experience with this location, and highly recommend it.Most efficient and friendly.

I have been a Kal Tire customer for tires and mechanical work on multiple cars over the years. Recently took our Leaf in for new tires. It only took about 45 minutes to have them fitted, and a wheel alignment done while I visited Keating Coffee across the road and I received the call to come and pick up. Great service from Avi at the desk who explained the work performed in detail and gave me the documentation. Thanks - I really like my new WRG4s!
