I tried Popeye's for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised to find thier chicken very tender and the coating was crisp and flavourful. They obviously change thier oil regularly because they were a light golden brown in colour. The size of the pieces were much bigger than I expected too. They make KFC look like a joke.
