The worst. I was going to walk out and go to Costco which gives much better service and I'm so kicking myself that I didn't. They didn't help me transfer my phone over. They gave no advice on how to do so. We're at Costco. Will literally do it for you. I'm so mad at myself because now I'm having so many problems. I'm not a techie and I needed help and she gave me some app to use. I would never recommend here ever. Plus I got geek squad which is pathetic as well. Overall worst experience

I recently visited the Best Buy Park Royal cell phone department for what I anticipated would be a simple exchange of a cellphone. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, prompting me to write this review.My initial visit required an unreasonably long time to process a basic return and acquire a new phone, only to be told that I would need to return the following day for resolution. Despite assurances that my case would be promptly addressed, I was met with a lack of recognition upon my return, particularly from an employee named Alireza.The second visit entailed a lengthy wait of at least 30 minutes before assistance was provided. Throughout this period, the level of communication and respect from the cell phone department staff was disappointing.Moreover, the assistant store leader, Barbod, attempted to deflect responsibility by blaming the service providers. The situation escalated with suggestions to switch my service first from Fido to Rogers, and then from Rogers to Telus, adding to the confusion and frustration.This experience highlights a significant need for improvement in customer service within this department. It is essential for a reputed store like Best Buy to ensure that their staff are well-trained in customer relations and problem-solving, to prevent such unsatisfactory experiences for their customers.

"Best Buy" at Park Royal South would be top of the list for any search (and has been for me) for products relating to technology, e.g., computers / notebooks / tablets, 4-in-1 mpc printers, and mobile devices. The list would also include broad home entertainment - media: video - audio systems, and gaming.From its previous form as "Future Shop", Best Buy really has expanded not only in the above areas but also into full range of home appliances both major (full kitchen etc.), and also smaller (cappuccino makers, cookers etc.). One-stop shopping destination is definitely accurate description.My most recent experience at Best Buy happened to fall on "Black Friday": what a total "hive of activity"(!).I had actually come into the Park Royal store in previous week hoping to buy a "Vtech desk phone" with 2 cordless handsets. However after verifying stock / online info, they told me that item actually wasn't available in store, but were more than happy to process the sale right there, and arrange transfer to the store, giving me receipt/processing number. During next 3 - 5 days, the ordering system kept me fully up-to-date with email confirmations re shipment and eventual arrival at Park Royal. I found this option of in-store transaction / delivery very convenient -- versus the fully online scenario with waiting for sometimes uncertain home delivery - coordination.The whole in-store tangible shopping experience from personal stock enquiry, to transaction, delivery and pickup in store was smooth, efficient and pleasant. This will definitely be a future convenient option for purchases at "Best Buy" - Park Royal South.

I have been a loyal customer of Best Buy for 26 years.Dana and Seraj (found their name in their name badges, please see my phot), are really the best staffs I have ever meet. They answer any questions you have in relation to any computers, and do their best to find the best solutions for you.

This place has such a wide variety of tech to buy, I love it!! They always beautifully showcase the newest technology on displays and demos, I always like to walk around this store to see what the latest tech is. If you're looking for any gadgets, simple or complex, you're sure to find it here.Only minus one star because the staff in the electronics department tend to nag and ask you questions when you're browsing. I understand that it's their job to do that and to help, but I think if they toned it down a tad bit it would be nicer :)

Dana with Geek Squad was very helpful in addressing my daughter's school laptop issues which we bought it only recently. She was very upset as it was her first school laptop but Dana was able to help and at the end she was happy. Hope the management read this review and recognize his great customer service.

My review is primarily on the geek squad. They seem very unorganized and several other adjectives I won't share. Bought a laptop this year from them, had to send it in for repairs and it took 2-3 weeks to have it sent in to the main repair shop despite me saying yes when I dropped it off as well as twice over the phone, so whether they just sat around for weeks or no one wrote it down that I said "yes send it in" I don't know but it's extremely frustrating when it's pretty crucial for my work, so any extra delay makes things much worse. It's also very hard to actually talk to anyone there. Will almost certainly look elsewhere for my new devices based on my experience.

*Best Buy at Park Royal sells duds*I bought a brand new laptop for $cad1,200 from Best Buy in Park Royal, Vancouver Canada as a gift for my sister. I sent it to her in a different country and the laptop did not even turn on at all. She had to send it back to me, the transit time meant that the item could not be returned within the timeframe of the store’s refund policy. I returned it in the same condition and explained to Best Buy that you cannot open a gift to test it and their refund policy is too small of a timeframe because items that are sent to other parts of the world cannot get back in time for a refund. The store refused to give a refund claiming that it was past the refund date.

My son bought a laptop for school two months ago. It is under warranty for a year. He took it in for repair and/or replacement and Best Buy said he needed the box. No one told him a box would be needed if a repair or exchange was done. Has anyone experienced this ?

On May 30, 2023, I purchased an iPhone SE cell phone . At that time, the salesman convinced me to purchase an additional warranty (Geek squad) for a monthly payment amount of $13.65.I decided to purchase the additional warranty due to the advantages that the salesman explained, the most important of which is changing the device for a new one ( never mentioned a refurbished one)in the event of any damage. He also made it clear that if it is not possible to exchange the device, I will receive a gift card for the full price paid.Due to some damage to the device, I went today to your Park Royal branch, keeping in mind that all the promises I had previously received would definitely be fulfilled.I have been instructed to contact Geek Squad phone number, where they asked me to pay an extra amount of $112 for the service, for sending the device for repair. If it is not repaired, it will be replaced with a refurbished device!!!!I then decided to meet the store manager Mr. Dave Wilkinson. l explained to him the whole situation in details.In fact, I was completely surprised by the treatment I received from him. Not to mention the indifference with which he met my explanation of the subject, it showed a clear lack of recurrence.What made matters worse was that when I confronted him that this was not what I was promised when purchasing the additional warranty, he claimed that there was no evidence that my words were true!!Given this unprofessional and even humiliating treatment, I ultimately rejected his request andAnd going to cancel the service as soon as possible.Such a waste of time and moneyI will never shop at best buy or recommend it as a good place to shop at.

Wasn't impressed with the Geek Squad wouldn't help me with my phone claiming it was not covered. As far as I feel I can use it as computer it is a computer.

Some practices here that made me uncomfortable as a buyer - sorry, but you might have lost my business for the foreseeable future.When purchasing a tv (admittedly in a little bit of a hurry), the display model was on sale at a decent priceAll the stocked tvs below it turned out to be another model in the series, sold at full price. Staff were dismissive after I paid, noticed price difference, and then raised the question, mentioning that the display model was in fact out of stock.Ended up paying about 200 more inclusive of tax. Adding insult to injury, I had to decline warranty about five times.

I visited best buy in park royal and i came across alex, he was pretty helpful at first but when he started asking personal questions thats when it gotten pretty uncomfortable for me and it was very unprofessional of him when he asked for my instagram. I cant really tell him that i was uncomfortable because i was afraid that he might do something so i just stayed and played nice. Now my personal information is at best buy's system and now im worried that he will use that to get my personal information. I dont think ill be able to buy things in best buy at park royal. I do hope that this will be able taken care of in the future because a workplace should only be for helping costumer and not flirting with costumer nor asking personal information. Overall the people at the cashier were very helpful and did not gave any uncomfortable feelings.
