I am an old man. I bought 10 bags of Turf Builder today at The Home Depot. Each bag is 42.5L. So it was too heavy for me to handle .An employee name Eagle told me that he would call someone to help load those Turf Builder into my car for me. But after waiting for a few minutes no one came. So he told me to wait at my car, and he pushed two shopping carts and loaded the Turf Builder into the carts and into my car. I really appreciate the way he treated his customer without letting me wait too long. Henry Ly. ( From Vancouver, BC.)

Excellent service, both from the gentlemen on the floor, and the lovely cashier, Miss Apurva, who impressed me with her efficiency and helpfulness! I have a problem, one of the joins of a supporting strut had come adrift from the leg of a coffee table so I needed an appropriate glue for that. And its surface had suffered ruinous sun damage and I needed the appropriate grades of sandpaper to sand it down and re-finish it, and a block to hold the sandpaper steady while I was using it. And the Japanese gentleman, who talked me through the whole process, was just amazing! I really could not have had better service from all concerned, and when I left that store I was beaming from ear to ear!

Terrible service! I had to reach at 3 employees so I could get help and they had no idea about the flooring product I was asking for! I showed them the picture from google on my cell phone and still they had no idea. Such a waste of time! Cambie store is better option!

Couldn't be happier! Went in for a lawnmower and found the amazing Sandra!! She asked us if we needed help even before we started to look for an employee. She was fun and knowledgeable, really took pride in her job and customer service. We left happy with a fabulous new lawn mower in hand. I will definitely be paying Sandra and Home Depot a visit the next time I need anything for the home.

This is the third time I've spent time and effort traveling to Home Depot on a holiday weekend only to find they are closed, even though the published hours on the door and online both say they are open. Terrible service to loyal Home Depot customers. Who sets the corporate store hours?

I needed some ceiling paint. And simple ask you would think. My 1st visit I came away empty handed as sales staff were more interested in standing around gossiping in groups. My second visit I thought was better when a helpful young man came straight over and after me explaining what I wanted (to paint a textured ceiling) sold me a $70 bucket of plain emulsion. WRONG! paint is useless as water based paint dissolves the texturing, $70 wasted. 3rd visit different guy realises problem but then tries to sell me oil based primer. Not wanting to buy this and then still have to paint it over with a finish coat I look along the shelves and find for my self the actual product made for just the issue I'm having. If you know what you want then they will probably have it. Just don't expect the staff to help you

All the times I've been there staff have been helpful and friendly. Not always easy to find one in the maze but when I do they are polite and when I ask for directions to something they walk me over to the product I'm looking for--as opposed to a more typical experience in big stores or dollar stores where they point in a vague direction or tell you an aisle number and you're lucky if they aren't surly.

I came here to get some fruit fly sticky tape as our hood and work is having a fruit fly problem due to organics. This wasn't a stand alone solution for our issue, however, with some cleaning in the office and home and some taking off the organic trash we were able to get them under control. It's just that season. The sticky ribbons helped for the other ones were weren't able to catch. The line-ups get long and there is no express lane, therefore, be prepared to wait an extra 20 minutes to get processed.

Had a completely disappointing and enraging experience with the West Vancouver location of the Home Depot. I had ordered a rug for delivery to the store and was given an "estimated arrival date" for the item of Jan 30th. When this date came and went without so much as a phone call from Home Depot to update me on the status of my order, I began an infuriating week+ long process of calling them every day to try and find out what had happened to the order. The staff members were completely ineffective at providing me with ANY helpful information whatsoever, never seemed to communicate with each other, and never managed to phone me back to give me info on my order. I got told that three separate individuals - Ben, Irene, and Evelyn - would call me back within the next day, and I didn't hear a word from any of them. I expected more from Vam, their customer service manager, to make it right. I asked him to arrange to have the item delivered to my home free of charge since there was such a delay on the order (it ended up coming in almost 2 weeks later than I was originally told, on Feb 11th!) He agreed that he would see what he could do and would phone me back (never trust that promise!) when he had an answer. Needless to say, Vam never got back to me and beautifully rounded out this completely infuriating, time consuming, and pointless experience. I will never visit this Home Depot location again due to the absolutely useless employees they apparently employ. Worst customer service experience I have ever gone through! Don't order anything from them unless you'd like to dedicate weeks of your time to chasing it! The one star is for the item, which was actually just fine. Just came in TWO WEEKS TOO LATE for the open house I had purchased it for!!

solid 3.5. More of a compact store compared to its suburban ones, but it's packed nicely, with a 2nd floor for the kitchen/bathroom stuff. due to being located in the Village and format, it's more shaped like a semi-oval when you walk in, instead of its typical rectangular box-shaped floor layout. Washrooms cleaner too. Did notice some nicer quality $1200 outdoor bbqs---already selling. And it's still snowing!

Came here to get an exchange. This location is actually a bit tricky to get to due to all the construction at Park Royal, but the parking situation is great. This location honestly looks a bit more like someone's mansion, with the nice large rotunda area in the middle. I spent several minutes wandering the location in awe. It's probably the best looking location in the Vancouver area. I've been told that Home Depot has an extremely awesome (almost too awesome to a fault) refund policy, and this is definitely true. They took my damaged saw blade and asked me to just grab another one off the rack. 5 minutes later, I was out, new blade in hand. And of course, the best part is they're open relatively late. Helps big time when you need a tool in a pinch. Home Depot is a great example of a giant chain doing things right.

Great store but it is so hard to find someone to help you. And when you finally find someone they tell you it's not their department!

As my friend said, "I've never had better service than at this Home Depot." They all get huge knowledge points in my book.

I always miss my Dad and Grandfather when I visit a hardware store...the smell of saw dust and paint take me back to my childhood working in the "shop" with Pop...and every time Grandpa would visit us he could never sit still longer then 5 mins so Dad would let him tinker around the yard "fixing" things. I like the West Vancouver location of Home Depot because not only does it evoke this nostalgia for me...they guys working there really seem like Grandfathers that can't stand being retired so they are working part time to keep busy. They love to help you....they love to gab...and they really love to go into every detail about what it is you're purchasing. I was looking for some screws for a home project and a very helpful grandfatherly fellow went into great detail about screws and the different types..what I should be using for what..and so on....he was awesome and it felt just like when I was a kid hanging out fixing stuff with Grandpa....
