I can't say enough positive things about the incredible experience I had at Kal Tire in Williams Lake, BC. They helped me through what was one of the most stressful situations I've faced as a parent on the road, and I am truly grateful. Before arriving in Williams Lake, I had my brakes changed by a business in Washington State--a business I won't be returning to. Unbeknownst to me, they had installed my brake pads backwards, which created a terrible and worsening metal scraping noise. As someone who isn't mechanically inclined, I had no idea what was going wrong. But I knew something wasn't right, and I was about to drive through the Yukon for the first time with my 5-year-old son in the car. I was far from home, uncertain about the road conditions ahead, scared I couldn't afford a serious repair, and trying to hold it together for my son, who was watching closely. I showed up at Kal Tire in Williams Lake first thing in the morning, prepared to beg for help. They didn't hesitate. Despite not causing the issue, they immediately welcomed my son and me inside, out of the cold and rain, and into a warm, comfortable waiting area. Then, without delay, they lifted the vehicle, identified the problem, and corrected it. The technician--whose name I regret not getting--was incredible. He even covered my car seat with plastic to keep it clean, which was such a thoughtful touch, even if, after hours on the road with a child, it couldn't have gotten much messier. He reassured me that my car had been safe up to that point and would be safe going forward. His kindness and calm presence were exactly what I needed. I was so overwhelmed with relief that I cried when I got back into the car. As a nurse working long hours and traveling cross-country with a young child, this act of compassion and professionalism made all the difference. Kal Tire didn't just fix my car--they helped me feel safe and supported when I was far from home and deeply stressed. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I would absolutely go out of my way to do business here again. Thank you, Kal Tire Williams Lake, for treating me and my son with such care. You are a rare and wonderful example of what true customer service looks like.

I've always received great service at this KalTire location over the years. The staff is friendly and helpful, service is prompt and the prices are decent. Very professional outfit and I can highly recommend this tire shop.

Stopped in to buy winters for my vehicle. In the middle of being served, the phone rang and the lady said hold on and started answering the phone. Baffled, I left the store. I guess someone on the phone is more important than a potential customer standing right there!

My husband and I are so greatfull for the 2 gentleman and the front counter lady on August 17 2024. We were in our way home to Fort St John from the south when one of our tires on our trailer blew on the highway about 20 minutes from Williams Lake. We thankfully had another tire but it went too. We took a chance and went to Kal tire and these 3 staff went above and beyond to helps us even though they were closed. They replaced our tire and got us on our way! Thank you so much!

I got my tires retorqued here while driving through WL. It was right before closing yet every single employee I spoke with (guy on phone, lady at head office, guy who did my tires) was so friendly! Literally the quickest and most pleasant experience during a stressful time!

We are driving from Washington to Alaska. Day two of our trip, a tire blew, badly, on 97. I looked up tire shops near me, and found these guys, thank goodness! They are fast, friendly, and professional ( ans inexpensive for four new tires on the trailer)

*BEWARE OF SCAMMING* I dropped off a flat tire on a rim here to get fixed, 5 hours later they tell me that the tire can’t be fixed, is beyond repair, & I need a brand new one (this tire was bought brand new 4 months ago). I took the tire down to cariboo springs, & they fixed it, & I haven’t had issues on it since (2 weeks of driving)

In travelling to our granddaughter’s graduation in Quesnel we took a detour on a gravel road due to a highway shutdown at Lac La Hache . In doing so we ended up with a flat tire on our Tesla . We limped it to WL only to find out tire was ruined and closest tire was in Quesnel . Local manager arranged for me to pickup ( borrowed a friends vehicle to get family to ceremonies) . I was prepared to come back on that day before closing on Saturday as we needed to get home by Sunday morning. Dave Herrling , store manager insisted we enjoy all the celebrations and time with our family on Saturday and he would meet us on Sunday morning to install tire and get us on our way . Which he did . Much appreciated in our time of need and beyond good service . Thank you again Dave .

Waited 2 hours for my tire to be changed Who ever drove my car into the garage turn my ignition key on while engine was running . Grinding the starter .. scratches on my rims .. they were immaculate and I’ve told them before that they had no scratches on them .
Only reason that they get 1 star is because they accepted to refund everything.
5 stars to the manager and cashiers .
1 star because I am still pissed they scratched my rims even with a heads up .
