Farm Sanctuary in Acton, California, is a beautiful and safe haven for rescued farm animals. The organization is dedicated to providing love and care to its residents, with fantastic volunteers and caregivers ensuring the animals are well attended. Visitors can enjoy guided tours on Saturdays, Sundays, and select Fridays, but advanced booking is required. Guests have shared memorable experiences, such as getting to scratch friendly cows and seeing large animals like a dairy cow over 8 feet tall. Many visitors express their appreciation for the organization’s work and the friendly environment, making it a great place for families and couples alike. Please note that due to extreme heat, the sanctuary will be closed from July 4 to 7, 2024, for safety reasons.
Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals in the farm and their history, and she did a wonderful job advocating for them. Staff was so careful of the animals. Definitely will not be my last time there!
