“Easy freeway access in a peaceful setting, near the freeway but not noisy. Colorful Garden Center has everything from 6-packs of veggies to shrubs to trees. I was particularly interested in the 6-packs given that at the time of my visit we were at the 1st weekend of April. They still had winter vegetables as well as summer (tomatoes, squash, cukes) starts. I had questions about fruit trees, and found them to be very knowledgeable, full of wisdom about what size pot to buy if you don't want to wait eons for your first piece of fruit. Great place!”

“??This is a local nursery with a knowledgeable and helpful owner on the premises. Saul has reasonable prices and has grown many of the plants right on the premises. He is fluent in English and Spanish. I have shopped there for almost 20 years. It’s located at the bottom of the Norwegian Grade as you leave Thousand Oaks to enter Moorpark. It’s on the left just as you pass the iconic Joel McCrea Ranch. Support local businesses??”

He answered all of our questions professionally and with good humor and had so much patience with my indecision and rambunctious toddler. “I went to Smith Pipe this afternoon as I needed their guidance to repair or replace an automatic, Champion brass anti siphon valve. The two employees who helped me, made great recommendations and explained how I should disassemble and rebuild the valve. They saved me time AND money. I've always had a great experience with Smith Pipe. I highly recommend them.”

“I felt compelled to write an outstanding review of Boething Treeland and recognize the exceptional customer experience I received in dealing with this nursery. I called yesterday, in search of a tree to replace one that had gotten diseased in our back yard. We have a whole row of trees that are uniform and one in the middle died and left a gaping hole in our privacy layer shielding us from our neighbors home. This tree is very rare and hard to find (Dwarf Carolina Cherry Laurel (Prunus caroliniana 'Compacta'), especially this time of year, and in the "perfect size" and height. I called Boething and Paul answered the call. He was helpful and very attentive from the start. He immediately knew what I was looking for, and even explained to me that there are different "strains" of the Carolina Cherry Laurel...something no one ever told me. He clearly knows his trees! He asked me to send a photo and one close-up with the leaves. He immediately texted me back and said it was the "dwarf" version. He then sourced it on-site and immediately sent me photos of two healthy trees. The price was EXTREMELY low and very reasonable. The tree was gorgeous, and perfection! The only downfall for us is the fact that we need to pick-it-up b/c we are outside their delivery zone, which is understandable. We will need to drive to Woodland Hills from South County OC and renting a truck (a 6 hour round trip). This may affect our decision ultimately...but I did feel compelled to recognize the exceptional service, pricing, quality, and responsiveness I received from Boething and Paul. We are considering a crepe myrtle too, so I will be bookmarking Boething and def. call again!!”
“This place is a little gem. I've been here a handful of times over the years, the last time apparently 10 or 15 years ago, since don't live in Malibu...until now when I made a special trip recalling the previous magic of this nursery. Back then it was a much larger plot, full of great plant finds. Now it has undergone a transformation.of sort. It's much smaller and there is some finishing carpentry upgrades on a couple of sheds ongoing. Definitely check it out to see what they'll use them for.
There's a selection of plants in smaller quantities then before but you're bound to find something you like.
The opening days are limited to only Tuesdays and Fridays for now. I'd recommend calling ahead to check the recorded message. Unfortunately there are no descriptions or labels on any of the plants, nor are there any prices posted. The lady at the was nice and helpful.
Nevertheless, do come. I'm told the owner is eclectic and turns up with a gem pretty frequently but this places apparently mostly caters to wholesale customers or locals.”

“Had come to this home depot with my mother to pick up a particular light bulb wasn't sure which one was correct and fortunately *not sure if this was employee but handed us card after* Dana Kristoff help us out didn't make us feel dumb for asking simple questions, just directed us where we needed and happily helped. Honestly havent had that kind of help in a long time!”
