“The Agoura Hills Recreation & Event Center was a wonderful BYO venue that gave us the flexibility to truly customize our wedding. We loved being able to bring in our own catering, bar service, and rentals. The staff was responsive over email and generally very easy to work with.
One thing to be aware of is that if it rains during the week of your event, you may need to switch to the courtyard, as we did, but it ended up being absolutely beautiful and worked out perfectly for us. Overall, it’s a great venue for couples who want flexibility and creative control.”
“We had our wedding at Eden Gardens in July and cannot recommend this venue enough! The grounds are absolutely stunning with greenery, flowers, ponds, and a special touch of white peacocks! Our wedding was an absolute dream and all of our guests expressed it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Special shoutout to Soltana Mulhearn and her staff at Velvet Alley Events who helped our wedding day move so seamlessly and catered to our every need leading up to the wedding and the day of. The food was also incredible and was provided by Command Performance Catering. What an amazing and special experience!”
“Kendall is AMAZING! We got married at Sherwood country club and it would not have been possible without her. She’s kind, competent, and super responsive. She helped us through a lot of planning challenges with grace and ease. She’s incredible at her job and added so much happiness to our weekend. Sherwood is also the most beautiful venue - our wedding turned out better than we ever imagined. We cannot wait to come back and visit this special place!”
“Rancho de las palmas is what dreams are made of! I loved the fact that only one event happens at a time so we didn’t have to share the space with anyone else. From the beautiful bridal suite to the option for a tree house-like play area for the kids with the option to hire babysitters, the venue offers it all. As a bonus they even offer an option for a pay-it-forward room that offers an incredible amount of decor items to choose from and all the little details that can be stressful to put together or sometimes can be forgotten about like card holders or signage options. Getting married in southern california can be expensive but I found that their prices were incredibly reasonable in comparison to other places. What I was most impressed with were the professionalism and attentiveness of the coordinators Laura and Jenn. Laura was always there to answer questions and was right there from beginning to end to make sure that our day was perfect. When we had an issue with our cake delivery on the day of, they went above and beyond to take care of the problem while making sure everything ran smoothly and stress-free. Words cannot truly describe what an amazing experience our wedding was and Laura and Jenn were the ones that made it all possible. Thank you both! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to book a venue!”

“The staff are super friendly. Daughter and I were allowed to stay and were not rushed even tho we left maybe 10 minutes before closing. The chiken quesadilla is DELICIOUS and the fries are CRISPY. Will Definitely be bringing my daughter here again after visiting her Tia in thousand oaks. Thank you everyone for making us feel welcome and allowing me to build these memories with my daughter. LOVE THIS PLACE!!”
“I got married here. It was a beautiful outdoor venue. Jenelle was a great host and was very involved on the day of. She was the consummate professional and kind. This is one of the best outdoor venues for weddings in the area and we loved it! I highly recommend this as a wedding venue in the great area of Thousand Oaks/Ventura County!”
“What a beautiful, clean facility complete with receptionists and light refreshments.! Teacher Candy lead 40-50 dancers in a dynamic, fast-moving dance program of line dancing! The floor was hardwood, heavenly for dancing in boots. The air conditioning was pumping, and it was a great night for dancing. Simultaneously, in the next room, there was ballroom dancing happening. Nice area outside the ballrooms to sit one out. Plenty of parking!”
“Breathtaking views, lovely spot for events. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the road. I am a hiker and very comfortable driving in narrow mountain dirt roads, and loved it but apparently this was an issue for almost everyone who was there. To be chosen if your invitees profiles are compatible with the challenging road to the venue.”

“Just held our annual Awards banquet here for the 3rd consecutive year. Always receive compliments on the picturesque view of the golf course from the banquet hall. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. It was a pleasure working with Haley in planning all the event details. We had a gorgeous red carpet entry which really set the tone for the upscale event it was. Thank you WRGC staff!”
“A fun place to go. Make sure to check if they have lanes available before you go. I went once or twice and they had no available lanes. We went into the Arcade to play.
The food isn't bad. It's actually pretty good!”
“This place is great for little kids. My kids 8 and under really enjoyed playing here. There's lots of different places for creative play and places for them to be active. Would be fun for a birthday party. I wish there was a water fountain and more than one restroom though.”
“Had to make a stop overnight on our way to our final destination so this hotel choice was out of necessity. We were blessed by fate. From the moment we walked through the door the facility glowed with professionalism. The counter person – this was 11:30pm was cheerful and concerned for out comfort and wellbeing. We were in our room in no time. This is a little thing but they had the new type luggage carts that made transporting everything MUCH easier. The room was CLEAN, furnished comfortably even though it was a cookie cutter chain design. The bed was very comfortable ( a huge plus) and the supplies were all of excellent quality. While we were only at the hotel the one night the staff and facility made a very positive impression on us.”
“Good hotel, but not great. Nice and average. But that's okay. However, the receptionist was clearly irritated we showed up an hour early. The housekeeping people also entered our room at 10am and again at 11:05 and check out was at 12pm. That was very irritating. Both times the shower was on and between my wife and I, each of us didn't hear the knocking over the shower noise and obviously the one of us in the shower didn't hear either. I didn't like that at all.”

“I booked the Westlake Village Inn for my mom's 50th birthday celebration. Lupe Quinones, the Assistant Director of Catering, was absolutely amazing. She collaborated with me for months to bring my vision to fruition. Lupe was consistently responsive and delightful to work with, providing all necessary information and promptly addressing any questions I had.”
“It's packed now during summer vacation. Evenings aren't that packed. The staff is mostly nice but they don't babysit your little ones, so make suit you watch them because the older kids do get wild. Also, they really need to do to better with the bathrooms. People are so careless. I'm sure they don't do this in their homes. So gross.”
“One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at for my work travels. Mona was extremely helpful during the check in process and the bartender/server taylor knew exactly what drink what helpful end my night. The bar/restaurant food was amazing as well. Had the best plant burger in my life and would definitely stay here again.”
