“Many things have happened here. Rachel talks to Dr. Grasnik in The RIng. Frankenstein accidentally kills a little girl on the shores of Malibou Lake. The Club became Mudde Memorial Country Club for Crazy Mama. The Roommates - Heather, Beth, Carla, Brea, and Heather's cousin Paula - stayed here, when it was called Camp Wanachee. At least for the time The Roommates was filmed. This lake hosted the picnic scene in I Married a Monster from Outer Space. And Dr Richard Kimble, just a few weeks before his final confrontation with the one-armed man, stops by the lake for an affair with a lady truck dispatcher. “The Agoura Hills Recreation & Event Center was a wonderful BYO venue that gave us the flexibility to truly customize our wedding. We loved being able to bring in our own catering, bar service, and rentals. The staff was responsive over email and generally very easy to work with.

One thing to be aware of is that if it rains during the week of your event, you may need to switch to the courtyard, as we did, but it ended up being absolutely beautiful and worked out perfectly for us. Overall, it’s a great venue for couples who want flexibility and creative control.”
