This is a relaxed neighborhood Farmer's Market. You'll love it. And, there are many little Resturants just steps away. Enjoy.

Love All the Vendors! Ibarra farms is the best by far! Max and Jerry are awesome! I love mi abuelita's berry farms! Jerry and Max come out to Alameda on Tuesdays. All of them always brighten my day! The freshest produce, anywhere from cremini mushrooms, broccoli, arugula, spinach, etc. The best customer service and the ambiance is very welcoming and organized. The Alameda Farmer's Market is my favorite part of the day because I get to see both Jerry and Max! Small talk and seeing how I'm doing is a genuine question each Tuesday, checking in with each other. Much love you guys!

This farmers market is a block from my apartment and it's become my regular Saturday morning event. Although I have tried multiple things, such as banana pudding from a vegan dessert stand, or the tamales from the tamale guys, the main reason I come back every week is for the strawberries. The strawberry man, which if my memory serves me is from either Salinas or maybe Gilroy, is selling hands down the best strawberries you're gonna find is the area. These strawberries are sweet and juicy and have a lovely red color. They honestly just taste like candy. If I don't control myself I'll eat them until I have a stomach ache. I've offered others to eat some and every time the person is highly impressed by how amazing these strawberries are. I also get other fresh fruit and vegetables there as well. There is another stand that has a huge array of fruit options and sometimes I'll venture out and get a pluot or a melon I've never heard of. They even offer samples so you can taste before you buy. I also LOVE the samosas from the Samosa guy. I suggest getting the cilantro dip they sell, amazing. This market is small but extremely effective. Easy access to stands, not over whelming and not a lot of duplicate stands. Theres even a flower booth for those who want to decorate their house. Pro tip. Go right before they are closing (usually around 1 pm) and you may get slightly better deals on things. Go at anytime though, you won't be disappointed.

The sundown town is still strong. A year ago a Karen confronted me about my dog. The vendor didn’t seem to mind. I wasn’t around food and numerous other dogs around. Today i see clear folks doing the same thing.

I used to go out of my way to Farmer's Market until I discovered this market right in my backyard so to speak. The palce is small enough for you to cover all their offer. Do not forget to go there on both days, Saturday and Tuesday, as they have different selection and some of them were unique stands like meat, and indian snacks stands that were a welcome find. one more thing that I appreciated in the Golden small tomatoes. You have to try them. their hours are limited and despite that I was able to easily navigate through the stands. If you live on the Island you have to try this place even once if you are not into Farmer's Market. Enjoy

I enjoyed stopping by the Alameda Farmer's Market. Lots of organic and fresh fruits and vegetables. Good selection of specialty foods. Got ice cream from the truck that was there and the service was quick. Casual ambiance when walking around the market. Great location, too.

I came here sometime last week. I missed the ones I normally go to, but I was out of fruit and onions and needed to make a trip. Parking can be tough. Kind of. I ended up parking across the street by homes. The street parking by the businesses will most likely all be full. The friendliness of the farmers was expected and i didnt see much that you couldn't get from any other farmer's market. However, they didnt have a lot of organic items here. The only organic items they had were the berries. That was the real downside to me, but i got my berries!

Quality/Quantity - Local honey from San Leandro. We actually buy our local honey in Alameda, see other Yelp review "Twin Bee Apiaries." I wanted to pick up some "po tarts" from the Portuguese bakery, but I did not see any. Hopefully next time. Many of the vendors offered samples, which I declined, as I knew I was going to eat a big lunch and then go to the winery. Atmosphere - Good size, "L" shape market, see picture of the elbow of tents. Here two days a week on Tuesday and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. They are also year round, rain or shine. Plenty of street parking. Service - Excellent, I spent some time at the info booth to learn more about the event and other locations. Price - Depends on what you buy. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1988 with over 50 farmers markets in 33 Bay Area communities.

Medium/small market. Mostly different vendors on Tuesday than Saturday. Some ready to eat food too.
