So much fun. Almost 4 hours later you realize that it's 10 min till closing and there is no way you have enough time to go back to that first booth you saw a cute thing you wanted to go get before you leave

Went first day on Friday evening. Nothing really popped out. Lots of clothes but it’s like a flea market. You really have to dig through all the duds and dust to find treasure. Some clothes are well marked for size or waist length. Not very convenient when trying on the clothes so be prepared. Lots of costume jewelry, high-end and low-end. A few real good/silver and gemstones but price is very outrageous. Only for the niche buyer. Not very much in vintage jewelry. Several inspired vintage train cases, purses, boxes but you have to really look to find real brands worth buying. Overall, this year is ok. Hope Saturday will be better.

We go every year, wide and eclectic range. Plenty of parking nearby. Opening night on Friday can be very busy, Saturday no so crowded.

Fun experience even if you only go to look. Lots of vendors with marvelous vintage clothes and jewelry. The highlight for me is Allyn Scura where you can buy prescription eye ware at extremely reasonable prices.

Went here several times when I first moved to the Bay. Made a shopping list for home goods I needed and found nearly everything--from cassette player, to tea kettle, MCM dishware, silverware, etc. I usually come when it's $5 at the door and there's still plenty to gems.

Was good this month around and as I am an Alameda local go down there every month but I think the heat kept both sellers and buyers away. I was impressed though this time around they cleverly positioned a portaloo in the middle of the carpark. This is the great antiques event to head to if you're looking for rare and wonderful things

Without question, one of the most FUN events in the San Francisco Bay area. Well organized show with the best vintage fashion in the world. Amazing and creative cocktails to sip while shopping, delicious Indian food truck, the best Parisian pastries from La Noisette in Berkeley. Talented swing band. A colorful, glamorous, hip, funky and delightful time with unique and artistic fashion and accessories.

I have been attending the Vintage Fashion Faire since the very beginning! I really love attending this show because of the various themes and locations over the years. Sandra Michaan who oversees this event brings the most unique vendors with various eras and wares so beautifully displayed. Sandra also runs the Alameda Point Antiques Faire which always is the first Sunday of every month. I have much enjoyed when the event when it was held at the Albert H. DeWitt Officers' Club (O' Club as it is more commonly known) on the former Alameda Naval Base. It has also been held at Rock Wall Wine Company and more recently at the Michaan's Annex Auction Showroom. I have enjoyed the evolution of this show and always find something for myself that I have to have. While some have complained about pricing please keep in mind that these items are vintage scarce hard to source and getting harder to find thus the price you pay. But I find that in most cases the prices are not set in stone there is room for negotiation. I have never paid the marked price. I find that many of the vendors are quite knowledgeable about the wares in which they sell. And are happy to give information freely if asked. I don't mind the entrance fee I mean $ 5.00!!?? For what could be a days entertainment and people watching. And there are always themes the last theme was "Sci-Fi Drive-In" spaced themed. There has been the fabulous 1940's, old Hollywood glamour, Steampunk, Mad for Mod, and the 1950's. There are food vendors there and sometimes coffee a well. I have long enjoyed this show and I will only continue to attend. Sandra Michaan keep up the great work and I hope your shows only continue to grow.

I have mixed feelings about this. I did make a couple of purchases. A fur stole for my sister, a rhinestone necklace and a FABULOUS ostrich wrap. Pricing was on the expensive side for the wares; I imagine that the vendors are charged a bit to exhibit here and they have to make up for that in expensive pricing. My initial thought about the merchandise in general was that a lot of it was old and not necessarily vintage and cool. Much of it was on the costume-y side or just weathered. Only a few booths had things of interest. 2 items were purchased from 1 vendor. Booths were very close together and aisles were crowded. This was at the "VIP" evening before the general shopping day. Based on what I saw, I would avoid the general day and only come to the evening preview if you are interested in less crowds and better selection- although that isn't saying much.
