Wonderful Yacht Club, all volunteer run by very friendly and welcoming membership. You need to contact the marina to make slip reservations.

We had our 48th Encinal HS Reunion last night here and can't say enough about this event space. The all volunteer staff was fabulous to work with and accommodated our every need. Thanks to them our reunion was a success!

Ballena Bay Yacht Club has been a very welcoming place on the west end of Alameda. They have a great bar with a great room for events and will rent their club for social occasions. This is a small yacht club that has been a part of the Ballena Isle Marina for many years. Other yacht clubs come over by boat or car to visit or do a cruise-in since the location is not hard to find.Hope you can come visit this year.MikeM

Great place to hang out, still coming back after pandemic and a great group of friends and activities. Affordable membership pays for itself every month in food and entertainment and friendships are the cherry on top. View of the marina on one side and San Francisco skyline on the other. Breathtaking sunset. Best birthday ever. Strongly recommend membership or rental. Had my birthday party there, made everything simple and a big success! Thanks

THANK YOU - Mike, Monica, Lynn, Tony, Kathryn, Jay, Tomasina and the whole club !!!I want to give a loud shout out to the crew at the Ballena Bay Yacht Club for allowing us to have our Encinal 50th High School reunion at their club. It is located in one of Alameda's many picturesque marinas that overlooks the great San Francisco Bay.Not only are they a yacht club that provides cruise-outs, racing, fishing and boating education they offer the use of their club for parties and any kind of social or private event. You do not have to own a boat to become a member. For more information see: ballendabayyc.comThe club features a large room (Sunset Room) that overlooks the San Francisco Bay, bar area (large enough for dancing & a band), plus an open outside patio/courtyard that overlooks the marina. Ample and free parking. I cannot rave enough! This was a memorable lifetime event for us, thanks again. If you want a great and memorable place to have your event - this is it!

Member for over 15 years. I enjoy the clubhouse and the folks. I’ve participated in multiple cruise outs and one sailboat race. The clubhouse facilities have been significantly upgraded over the last 1-2 years.

Morning and evening are the best time to enjoy the quiet time jogging. Blue waters and different size watch give good background for selfi.
