I asked for simple haircut and even showed them a photo and they messed it up, cut my bangs, and shaved off more then I said they were supposed to. How do barbers finish a haircut and be like yeah that looks good even it’s horrible ;NO you must be pretty stupid. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

My go-to spot for haircuts. Both Cindy and Jenni do an excellent fade. Just be sure to call ahead as there is always a wait.

This place is only good for cutting men's hair(short hair). Not a women long hair. Most of customers are men.

Bad customer service. I called for a 5:15pm appointment and I get to the shop at 5:10pm with no one ahead of me. Both the ladies were cutting hair so there was a wait. 3 more customers show up after me and when one of the stylist finished cutting the other customer's hair, she approached the waiting customers. Thinking I was next, I almost got up and she tells me "oh this guy (man sitting next to me who showed up at 5:30pm) has a 5:15pm appointment." I replied with I do as well and she said "I'll get to you next!" Ok I have patience but the fact that this guy showed up 15 minutes past his appointment and I was on time, I should have been next but I waited nonetheless. The other stylist finished cutting another customer's hair and she didn't even bother to approach me knowing I had been waiting for almost 45 minutes and tells a customer that showed up 20 minutes after me to get to her chair. At this time, it was approaching 6pm so I left the establishment and decided they will never get my business again. Honor the appointment and don't play favoritism. I don't even think the guy had a 5:15pm, it seemed like a friend of the stylist. Now I know why there was a man who was very irate walking out of the shop the first time I came to this shop 3 months ago. The quality of the haircuts are what you pay for and this is why this shop continues to have business because they are cheap, but these stylists need to know how to treat their customers right. You can tell they don't value returning customers because they get business no matter what but that was just in poor taste. Judging from the other reviews, they don't honor appointments. What's the point of suggesting it's better to have appointments when you don't honor it? Never again, they are rude and have no regard for their customers specially the stylist in the back, dry personality with no customer service skills.

Place is a joke. Appointments are never scheduled correctly. I arrived with a 2:30 appointment and another man arrived 5 mins after me and said he had a 2:30 appointment and they cut him first. Will never go back. You get what u pay for.Service: Haircut

a) Kelly no longer works here. If anyone knows where she moved, please post? (I was out of town for awhile, so missed when she would have told her customers. I suspect false, the owner's answer that Kelly quit to take care of her new baby. But congratulations to Kelly, if she's pregnant. More likely she moved to another hair salon, or opened her own.) b) Today, I made an appointment for whomever available. Unfortunately, when I arrived a few minutes early, another customer was already waiting. Normally I'd just excuse a (schedule) mistake...especially as I've been a monthly customer since 2016; always had a great job done, for which I always gave Kelly a 50% tip. But, this being the first time coming, after learning she no longer worked there, I was already deciding if I should still go there, or look around. And, oddly they didn't even apologize for their schedule mistake. It was only when I had almost reached the door to leave, when they said sorry, can you please wait? So, I went across the street to another barbershop, and gladly waited for the next available person. I'm bummed after 6+ years, to have lost Kelly. (In hindsight, I should have posted a review for her, years ago.)

I was running late for my appointment so I call to let my hair dresser know that I am running late. She told me if I can reschedule my appointment. So, I did for next day. Next day I went there 15 minutes early but when it was time for my appointment, she said there's another person in front of me. That person has a 30 minutes appointment before mind. But that person was there 15 minutes late and she did not ask him to reschedule. I would not go there again.

2022 Honest review. Not recommended for women's haircut. I just went here because its the only salon that was available that time. I regret it. My hair was chopped. The lady was rushing. She cut my hair in 30 mins. I'm traumatized. I'm never coming back. This is a learning experience for me. Hope you won't experience what I did.

My first time trying this barbershop. I tried the one across the street before, didn't really like it. I was hesitant in visiting this one because of prior reviews, but I figured the stylists have had years to practice since. I came a few minutes early on a Saturday, the owner arrives a few minutes early to set up shop. A punctual barber is a good sign. I had to wait a bit because an appointment was made; maybe next time I'll call a day or two ahead. A guy came in a few minutes after me, asking for Kelly for a haircut. Found out she doesn't work here anymore due to marital bliss. This place is on one of the main streets of Alameda, I parked about 10 blocks away but I enjoy the walk. The street is usually crowded on Saturday with farmers' market and people coming out for breakfast/brunch. Street parking was packed! My barber was Jennie, she arrived a few minutes after the shop opened. She's possibly the most gentle with attention-to-detail barber I've ever met in my entire life! She took her time to cut my hair using a multitude of tools, which is a rare quality to have. After 3 years of searching in Oakland/Alameda, I finally found a barber who understood what "zero on the side, eight on top" means! She also asked for the length of the front of my hair 2-3 times as she was cutting, which was a huge plus. She's simply perfect for the type of haircut I look for (since my previous barber retired). So yea, I might be coming here again.

I've been taking my son there since he was 1 years old he is currently 2. We really enjoy our visit every time they are very patient and the prices is best part. Other shops are charging 50 for a kids haircut
