Not sure why, but Chase decided to terminate our accounts with no recourse. Even the poor customer service rep who I called said "sorry, nothing I can do".. see and Chase is *specifically* mentioned.. they are very risk averse.

I was just getting ready to move my checking, savings, and financial accounts from Bank of the Worst, oops, West, it's West, that just merged, cough, got bought out by BMO. Not happening now. I just learned Chase Bank cancelled all the accounts of a prominent Dr whose consistent message is against the "jab", against big gov'ment interfering in our lives, exposing the lies of the WHO, CDC and Fauchi. And not just his, but the accounts of people who work for him and the children of people whom work for him. No warning and no explanation. Are we in China or North Korea? The fact these accounts were cancelled tells me he is dead on with his take on the world and where it is going. Why else would they retaliate this way. So along with not opening new accounts, I am also closing 3 other accounts I currently have with Chase. Boycott this bank if you value your freedom.

Wow this place is trash. Long waits and incompetent tellers. Too bad there's only two chase banks in Alameda. I'll be changing banks soon.

Horriable Service, My account have been fraud. She wasn't trying to help me open a new account. Just because they were closing in 20 minutes. She basically told me to come back tomorrow.

Been a customer since the Great Western days in the 70s. Bank has gone through so many name changes since then. I have been coming to this branch since the 80s. A long time customer with numerous accounts from checking to savings to CDs and investments. Got to know the staff through the years with some staying and others leaving. Although the kiosk is a good idea, I still like dealing with tellers! Please keep some tellers!! Chase is a good bank. Glad there are many branches around. Will Chase expand to DC? Was surprised there wasn't a Chase there.

Within the last few months, I've experienced increasingly frustrating service at this Chase Bank location. Not sure what the management is doing as I'm sure the manager could see and know that many customers are unhappy - the biggest issue is with waiting time for service. Yes, Chase Bank prides itself in fast banking services BUT that applies only to teller service - depositing or withdrawing money/checks. Aside from that, it's a waiting game! I've had to wait for about 20 minutes or more recently just to get some banker to help me. It wasn't just me, as there were also other customers who had waited the same amount of time and we shared how it's been getting worst. On one occasion, a banker was obviously just taking a break until the manager asked and even then it took about 5 minutes before the banker assisted customers. Time to improve!!

This review is for William and Patty. My account was opened at this branch years ago; through the good and bad, I've had a multitude of negative experiences and had vowed to never step foot in here again: The most annoying experience originating from the loss of my debit card and being condescendingly told by some guy named Jim (at least four years ago) that it was ridiculous of me to have lost it--despite the fact that it was over five years before having lost my card even once. BUT BACK TO TODAY: Patty showed me that there is still human kindness available in this branch--and so did William. Patty was attentive, patient, and above all: kind. If either of you get to reading this, thank you.

Why exactly are there only 2 working windows. The line is always a line out the door. Clearly people still use bank tellers on a daily bases. This is ridiculous. Open the bank teller back up.

Chase oh how I love you!! Chase has got to be the best bank out there. I never have any issues going to any chase. Customer service is always on point. Staff are friendly, welcoming, anytime I walk in I'm immediately greeted or asked why I came in and they assist me! The self service ATM machines are fast and efficient! They don't take FOREVER like bank of America! Love Chase Bank!

I had a problem with my new debit card. The old pin didn't work, as the customer service rep on the phone said it would. So I went inside the Otis Drive office to see what was going on. This asian woman suggested I didn't know what I was doing, and punched in the wrong numbers. Then she went on to say it's my problem, so I have to wait up to 30 mins to get it resolved.

I have had multiple credit card with Chase for many years. I needed to go into a branch in Alameda, CA today (July 11, 2018) to do some transactions. I was greeted by one of the most professional, courteous and sincere young gentlemen. His name is/was Reuben. This young man was so "customer service driven, it was an outstanding first impression. I observed Reuben after he handled what I needed. He consistently displayed the same kind, genuine, caring customer attentiveness to every single customer walking through the door. In addition to Reuben main position as a Teller. He was greeting and directing the public to the area & person they needed for their specific transaction. Reuben is an excellent communicator and gave every customer his undivided attention. Eye contact, interested in their needs and able to decipher the best course of action to satisfy the needs in a quick and results-oriented manner. I'd like to give a huge "Shout-out" to this young man for his excellent and natural ability to represent Chase as the first point of contact. Representatives such as Reuben are what makes CHASE the company it is and, have the stellar reputation as a mega-player in the banking and customer service industry. Reuben - You are one of a kind and a sincere, kind representative. Thank you for making me feel like a VIP! David M Alameda, CA

I don't bank with chase but I always come and make deposits for work. The staff is always very helpful, friendly and kind especially ULISES! I hope I spelled his name right. I was standing in a kind of long line one day, pretty much on a time constraint for work and as always ULISES came and ask what I needed help with so I told him, and he Instantly went out of his way to grab someone else that could watch the front lobby and helped me with my transaction. Yes their systems might've been down but he made sure to let his manager inform me of what was going on, things happen so it's completely understandable plus it still didn't take too long. I think I will consider opening up an account for my son's savings, I wish there were more people in the world like ULISES who is very helpful, kind & who performs his job well, shows to be very genuine and never hesitates to offer his help! (The world would be such a better place)!

Don't go here if you value your time or your data privacy... True story : I'm visiting my parents and my father asks, "Do you have time to go to the bank to add your brother to the safe deposit box?". It appears that Chase requires that my father, my mother and myself all be present to add my brother's name to the safe deposit box. Inconvenient, but not a problem. I look at my watch and figure it shouldn't take longer than 40 minutes, at which point I would need to take my son to his first baseball practice, so I say, "sure". So off we go, and as expected, there was a small line. After about 10 minutes, we get served... I'm thinking, "Cool, I just need to show some ID, tell them I approve my brother having access to the safe deposit box and off I go". I was sooooooooooo wrong. I ask the Chase employee if she can process me first as I am the only one in the group that has an appointment afterwards. She says she needs to process my brother first. I'm thinking, "OK, I can wait a few minutes for that". I was soooooooooooo wrong. She starts off asking my brother for his driver's license and where he lives, etc... questions I expect. Then she starts asking about his Social Security Number, how much he makes, what his wife's name is and how much she makes, does he own his own home, what is his total net worth, show her at least one of his credit cards, etc... I step in and ask, "Why are you asking these questions simply to add my brother to the safe deposit box? I'm concerned over data privacy here". This Chase employee matter of factly responds, "whatever". My brother caught on and started to give bogus responses. After 20 or so minutes, the inquisition completes and I'm thinking, "OK, I can show her my ID and leave soon". I was sooooooooooo wrong. The Chase employee turns to my father and starts to ask him questions. Again, I interject and ask if I can go next as I need to take my son to his baseball practice. The Chase employee responds, "I have to go in a specific order, your father is next and I can't change that". So I cross my fingers that I'm next in the interrogation line. About 5-10 minutes later, she finishes with my father and I'm thinking to myself, "pleeeeeeease let me be next". I wasn't. After questioning my mother for another 5 or so minutes, the Chase employee turns to me and says, "You are next now, can you show me your driver's license and a credit card"? I was beaten down and sheepishly say, "OK", expecting to be interogated like the rest. But after looking at my driver's license and credit card, she types something in her computer and simply says, "You can go now. You aren't needed for the rest of this process". I was surprised, actually shocked, but I wasn't going look a gift horse in the mouth so I jetted out of there. Ultimately, my son's baseball practice started late, so it turned out it was OK for me to be late. Must have been karma.
