Been to this location times. The place is quite small but they carry a lot of items that I love especially Sanrio. this time around we purchased more household items and didn't splurge on "wants". My hubby picked up a few items to give as gifts for his co workers. Now, of course the standard price is $1.75. Still a great value even though they have lots of items there that cost more. They will have different colored sticker label on the item and you'll need to refer to their price guide posted throughout the store. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely visit again. I highly recommend this place.

Always have fun browsing and with so many selections, it's hard to leave empty-handed ?. I was bummed a popular cosmetic item was not available, but there was so much else to compensate! Happy fun!

Fun Japanese version of dollar store. Found fun eastern treats as well as useful items for less. Quick fans to bring to wedding on 90° day. Great helpful service.

I’m super disappointed when I went there yesterday. The cashier scanned my items and started handing it back to me. Do I look like an octopus? things started falling on the nasty floor. I couldn’t hold everything. The experience was awful for me. I asked her, “do you not have any paper bags to offer ?” She said it’s “20 cents” and I don’t care how much it is. Then she proceeded to say it was better to use the bag I was already buying since I am paying for “$4 for it already” The logic wasn’t for me,I wanted the bag for a gift for later. Why the hesitation to offer me a bag??? I never cared about the prices or inflations until she wanted to act frugal. Moral of the story is, I don’t have time for Daiso anymore. The prices went up,And the service is ridiculous as well. I just came back from Japan and everything from this store is less than a dollar there. At this rate I will wait till I return to Japan. Prices went up and customer service went down. Since Halloween is coming up, my family and friends will ghost this store and never come back. Arigatogozaimasu and sayonara.

You can really get lost in this place, and it is such a small store, too. Personally, I think it's one of the main attractions for shopping here. Very unique, and they actually offer products not normally impprted from Aaian countries. Apart from food and bevs, they also offer household products and office supplies for all ages.

I'm moving into a new place and need everything - bowls, plates, cooking utensils, waste bins for the kitchen and bathroom, among other assorted household stuff. I was able to get most of it in one trip to Daiso. And here's the kicker: I only spent $73 and change on some pretty cool stuff for the new place. Daiso. It's what happens when Target knocks up a Family Dollar Store.

They don’t take Apple Pay and don’t let you know until you are at the register to pay.

Something about Japan and stationary. It's worthy of a stop to stock up on cute office supplies or random lunch accessories. My kids have inherited my love of all cute Japanese goodies. Our trips can add up despite the 1.50ish price point. We've visited larger Daiso stores but this location still gets the job done. I love any excuse to visit alameda and when we do, Daiso is on our list.

I adore this store. Daiso is a Japanese brand of chain discount stores. They used to be $1.50 and up but now are $1.75 and up. You can still get a great deal on household items, Japanese/Korean/Asian snacks, and beauty items. Their products are made and distributed from all over, besides what you'd expect (China) at discount stores. I have found items made in Japan and Korea for sale here too. They seem to be all over various cities and states in the USA now. The Alameda location is somewhat small compared to other venues but they still have a good selection of items. Most of it very adorable and kawai. You can sometimes find limited Sanrio brand accessories here (Hello Kitty, etc) and their soft plushies are great to give as gifts.
