Terrible practices performed by inefficient, incompetent management. It takes numerous calls and voicemails until you're finally able to speak with someone, individual managers emails are not available and the only posted option is a Junkbox email that is ignored. Office has been closed for over two years due to Covid restrictions that have been lifted since 2021 while management WFH, collecting exorbitant amounts of money on undeserving salaries paid with homeowners' sky-high monthly dues. Unprofessional, even discriminatory regulations are enforced on some residents while board members, friends and family are free to do as they please. Nepotism, racial and financial discrimination have ruined what used to be an extremely desirable place to live. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Non responsive, self serving HOA. Wastes money on ineffectual private security system, moves at a glacial pace responding to repair requests, threatening correspondence to owners...horrible.Even when you call and get a message you can hear the condescension in their tone, as if we who pay good money for their "service" are inconveniencing them by daring to call...

Despite paying fees and addressing their concerns in a timely manner, I find the HOA to be very condescending to me when they write me. I feel that I live under the gestapo. Not friendly, nice or concerned about their homeowners, but rather, aggressive and non responsive.Leslie Greenwood.

I have lived in this community since the end of 1991. We have been enjoying living here since. I also served on the board of this HOA for several years in the past. A great community association with good administrative staffs. The front desk receptionists are tentative and courteous. However, the managers are usually slow or without in responding email and phone calls. Wish they can improve in the very near future. Nonetheless, It's a community with hundreds of homes tugged in Bay Farm Isle of Alameda in California. But I'd highly recommend living here. The San Francisco Bay view us incredible!!! Easy ferry commute to San Francisco in just 22 minutes!!!

If I had known when I was searching for homes in Alamedahow horrible Harbor Bay homeowners Association is, I never would have bought a home here. The staff is hostile to homeowners as I have learned over the last 32 years of home ownership. The latest power play involves refusing permission to repaint my home the exciting colors it has. Because my request had to be discussed I have to wait another 2 months before it is even considered by the HOA. I could go on and on about the ridiculous actions of the staff at HBHOA but I urge you to stay away from Harbor Bay. I'm sorry I moved here.

Unprofessional; argumentative; refusal to address clear stated issues; refusal to clarify unfair and inconsistent treatment/requirements of residents; inflexible; too much power over landscaping and an incredible ability to choose inappropriate and downright unattractive plants....I could go on. This applies to Brittany Landing the Bay as well as the overall association. I agree completely with Janet, Jesse and Anthony. The managers and staff above them have forgotten they work for the residents, but their attitude is definitely one of the residents are under their rule. The entire HOA system needs to be reorganized and homeowners must have more say over the HOA staff and board members.
