Lani runs this little hole in the wall treasure. Go there for the homemade Thai / Vietnamese delicacies. Small cozy wine room in the back!

Staff is super nice and the salmon plate was delicious. Great little spot to pick up snacks, beverages, or bait for fishing.

So good and so friendly! Sailed into Ballena Bay and wandered over to the Harbor Mart and so glad I did! Lany was welcoming, friendly and a great cook! Bought a chicken banh mi and spring rolls for our sail back and they were fantastic! A great little store loved by everyone I met in the harbor. Worth stop if visiting Alameda!!

Great place to grab lunch or supplies after a paddle at Mike's Paddle, or fishing at the harbor mouth. The bahn mi and salmon plate are local favorites!

The perfect place to meet up with your walking buddy or a new friend. It's a cozy little place with much to offer: fresh delicious foods, assorted hot tea and coffee, and a wide variety of the little bits you expect from a convenience store. It has a location with a quality of serenity in the air and friendly service fortified by a nurturing owner, Lany, which any visiting the market will have the pleasure of meeting. So refresh yourself at the market prior to embarking on your stroll around the harbor. Bring a kite or fishing rod just in case the impulse ignites you. After your excursion, return to the market and relax with a cup of tea, or soup of the day, or pick up something you remembered you needed at home. By the way, the best sunsets are visually exceptional from a seat in the market's storefront. Enjoy your day. Start it here.

An unlikely place to find home cooked soul food that reminds me of my mom's soups. The winter melon soup is the best. I've also tried the salmon with coconut rice and kabocha squash - delish, pandan cake, bahn mi grilled chicken. Great quick meal after a paddle.Summary: delicious options for a warm meal, friendly and quick service, sizable portions at affordable price. Check it out!C A.San Francisco, CA4610229/11/20225 photosSalmon melts in your mouth. Wild caught Alaskan over coconut rice with sweet and sour sauce. 3/4 inch steak, generous serving and moist. Ten dollars at Harbor Mart Market at Ballena Isle marina. My reward after work on a summer Sunday morning. I bicycle across the island just for one.One of a kind spot, charming wine barrel tables and comfy chairs, mosaic ceramic cafe tables to sip your Vietnamese ice coffee. This place is a treasure. To the convenience of this place - let's face it Ballena island is out in the sticks compared to the rest of Alameda. And you know what , that community got it spot on. Locally run, VERY fairly priced with delicious Vietnamese food and drinks - but don't worry your usually suspects ie green tea and latte are there too.Mike's paddle growing community surely also brings its crowd there.Sebastian K.Alameda, CA642919/14/2022Super amazing and welcoming owner! I was on an evening stroll with my daughter and the place was closed. The owner waved to us to come in. I said we were just scanning the menu and I was interested in the tofu sandwich since I am a veg but I am not hungry and will come in again another time. The owner decided to give me the sandwich to try for free. I refused and said I have to pay. She settled on $1. I ate the sandwich the next day for lunch. What a delicious Vietnamese tofu sandwich!!!Casey S.Elite 2022Alameda, CA500018235679/14/2021The Marina Harbor Mart is a real gem. Located right on the water, they've got a bunch of snacks and drinks and are pretty well stocked. Service is pretty friendly too - you can tell this is a neighborhood market. We got some Drumsticks for $2 a pop and were just able to chill outside in their outdoor patio area. It's the perfect spot to just watch the fog roll in and take a breather.Yogibear C.Fremont, CA1261673/24/2022Updated review1 photoI mad a sumptuous lunch at this place - Thai curry with steamed white rice. It was so good. The fresh cut orange juice was rejuvenating. The owner was so kind to offer free and awesome mango ice cream - the view of the bay and the dessert just made my day.Mango ice cream - no fat but so tasty and yummy
